Been checking out Canon's KZbin videos for a while now. Amazing sound from the start. Every time I heard the song, I was thinking it was pretty obvious they were basically at the beginning. Great sound but videos on a budget. The worst part... and the best... was listening to her live concerts... The potential was there, but she seemed stiff, a little nervous, a little tentative, and not as assertive/loud as she needed to be. The good part was it created hope and interest... what could happen as the band got out there and grew? We are seeing it. Awesome. I think we are going to hear a whole lot more form Cannons and some amazing music. I am grateful seeing the band mature and after seeing interviews, it is clear that Michelle has a personality to more than matching her skill, The two guys in the band, Ryan and Paul Davis deserve as much crediit, hanging back doing their thing very, very well. As a team, very, very good.

Vocalist needs to some how find her professional live performance voice, its 50 percent of this profecion and from the live performances I've seen online her deliverance is less than memorable, it's my favorite band right now and I've raved about theirs studio work, but live can definitely have some improvements add some echo elements at least and recalibrate your EQ,s and compressors on her voice, help her out at least.

Looks like playback to me. If you look carefully at her mouth movements they are out of sync with the singing. Take a look at 30:07 where there is a word “golden” and she misses that with the microphone. Maybe she has some problems with live performance.

The video sound is better on The Setlist which has videos of their live set in Sacramento in July. I was there and it appeared to be live.

Give them time. He’s new to the band. They’re getting better each day. I’ll be at another show in a couple weeks. Will see how much improvement has been made. These are working artists. It’s hard competition out there. Give them as much support as you can. They’re competing with the biggest names in the business with modest means. Ben is an incredible addition and will only improve over time.
