I have not experience with the plastic cans but the first thing I do is always check the actual overlap. If your overlap is good this is generally the most important thing to getting a good seam.

Awesome, the missing piece for canning is an affordable, fast, handsfree counterfiller(to be able to have one can being filled while the is being seamed. Your bottle filler kit is nice, but it keeps you from doing anything else the time of the filling, and that a big downside when having 60-80L batches.
@KegLand2 жыл бұрын
Yes we have another device that will do this for you. We have an auto bottle and can filler and this will be about AUD$120 and hopefully available at the end of the year.

That's an Open ended Spanner bty not a Ring Spanner. What is the payback in terms of pints brewed for a Home Brewer. I think I saw somewhere that the cans were 40-50p each and non re-usable. A pint of my normal brew costs me 40-50p, this is doubling the cost.
@dfross874 жыл бұрын
The best price I have been able to find for a bottle cap (also not reusable) was nearly 30c each (buying 1000), so it's not vastly different. Definitely more expensive than kegging though (and less convenient for the most part) , so I'll stick with kegging for most things and only bottle/can (once I've saved up enough for a new shiny) on the rare occasions it's the preferable option.

It's starting to get to the point where you are better off just waiting for the next version of a product when it's released by Kegland. Unsure if I am willing to drop $500 on the new RAPT fridge for instance when undoubtedly V2 will be bigger and better. The Kegerator Series X and 5 iterations of the Robobrew/Brewzilla. It's good that they are being innovative and releasing new stuff though so I dunno, catch 22 situation for a lot of people.

Shouldn`t be necessary to adjust a brand new machine. And the splash guard should be part of the machine
@KegLand Жыл бұрын
Yes we have been doing quite thorough testing before the machines are shipped now so generally speaking they do not require adjustment when new. If however the machine is dropped or get a hard knock in transit this can alter the settings so further adjustment is necessary now on about 1 in 50 machines.
