A very accurate review! I used to ride the Mad Mouse at Enchanted Forest back in the 60s. The “late turns” we’re it signature move. But trusting the structural engineer was maybe the scariest aspect. Riding it 20 times in 2-1/2 hours beat the hell out of one ride on Space Mountain.
@CanobieCoaster Жыл бұрын
I much prefer Space Mountain myself.

I rode the Mad Mouse in Indiana at the Enchanted Forest. Our elementary school - St Adalbert - based in Pilsen on 17th street had an annual trip for years. The nuns would play skee-ball all day. The Mad Mouse was packed with the "big kids" always. The Dodge 'Em cars and the Big Swing was also taken over by them too as they were located next to it. Great to see Mad Mouse is alive! Great vid

I remember riding Mad Mouse as a child at Enchanted Forest (RIP). Good memories. I'm glad to hear it's still running.

I’m another person who rode Mad Mouse when it was in Indiana. It was my first coaster. Back then, there wasn’t the foam “pool noodle” on the handle bar. I busted my lip quite a few times during the bunny hills. Still, I have some great memories of the ride.

In Wisconsin there is a wooden coaster that Canobie Coaster would say: This wood coaster was meant to be a family coaster, but this ride is weird. In many ways, it reminds me more of a wild mouse coaster than a traditional wood coaster. The tight turns offer sudden bursts of laterals that mercilessly throw you to the side. Then you pass over a bunny hill and camelback and return to the station with one of the most... A) famous finales on any coaster. B) infamous finales on any coaster.

I don’t see it in the footage here, but on the day I visited the end of the final bunny hop, heading into the brake run, offered surprise EJECTOR air. Just when you think the coaster is about to end, you’re thrown suddenly and violently into the air. I wonder if other people here experienced that, because this was for me one of the most memorable things at Little Amerricka.

Ouch... 5:07 the little girl walloped her head into the front bar. Fortunately it looks very thickly padded so I'm sure she was fine. This ride looks like a blast, Id love to ride it. When I was a kid we had an indoor mall which would have something like this put up at Christmas time. There was Santa's Land with Sant on a throne meeting little kids, a little train that ran around that land (decorated with big cottonball looking snow mountains, cardboard igloos and lighted candy canes), a small carousel and this coaster. After the ride my mom or dad would take me for an Orange Julius. Oh fond memories!!

I've ridden the monster mouse and I think I rode this which replaced it at Playland in Vancouver. The replacement had wilder turns (one can still find a POV of it; we called it the "Wild Mouse") but I pined for the old one since I was too small to ride Coaster so I liked the airtime on the 1st drop of Monster Mouse. Thanks for the review!

I had no idea what to expect, so I was surprised to see the cars and the lack of restraints when I walked up. It was a fun ride. I wanted to go again, but it had built up quite a line. It seemed to be quite popular there.

I've ridden a Monster Mouse model that was in Winnipeg in the mid-2000's and I loved it. All the unique quirks that you described here plus the two tummy tickling drops at the start made for a great ride. Our version had seat bets (though I'm not sure if the model required them, or the park just manually added them). Hopefully the Monster Mouse in Montana operates one day.

I do love the fUnKy design of the cars. The roller backs on Herschell & Miler's are very melodic. Yes! A great old classic can still scare the daylights out of you.

Haven't ridden one, but I've heard these try to kill you with how aggressive and fast they take the turns. Combine that with no restraints, and you have a recipe for potentially my favorite wild mouse (and I really like the Arrow mice quite a bit).
