I had a very unique experience at this park. A very nice employee gave us a free tour on a golf cart all around the park and behind Rampage. He even took us through the whole queue of the abandoned rapids and told us some history of the park. He said the owner wanted to replace the rapids with a giant water coaster like mammoth to break its record, but we’ll see if that ever happens lol. Just one more slightly large coaster would do wonders for bringing coaster enthusiasts from everywhere, and there’s loads of potential for expansion all around the park

Alabama adventure truly used to be amazing, there was a log ride, bumper cars, concerts, and so much more, my family used to get season passes every year. The closure of the dry side really killed so much momentum. I have memories of taking my cousins on the roller coasters for their first ever time. I really need to go back soon

I live in Birmingham and went there - Alabama Adventure - with a friend back in early May of 2011 and had an absolute blast! Especially on the roller coaster and I loved it! Ironically this was right after when the deadly tornado ripped through the Bessemer area which also affected Birmingham. But I still had fun. I actually had plans for opening weekend there that year but that was exactly when the tornado hit.

I have only had the one visit, in June 2020, on a Saturday. Lines were not an issue then, and Upsurge was allowing single riders during that time. I need to get back for more Rampage rides, as I was very impressed with it. It might be my favorite CCI. Both shows were very entertaining. The dive show uses a lot of the same bits as the one at Holiday World. My main problem with getting back there is their limited season. I typically want to use my summer vacation time for the more northern parks, then I'll do SFOG/Dollywood/Florida this time of year, but Alabama Adventure is closed. It does make sense, since the waterpark is their main attraction, but I'm rarely passing through when they're open.

Being an enthusiast and living in Birmingham, I’ll say Alabama Adventure is really good for what it is. Could there be more? Yes but getting both the water park and the rides’ side for the price they charge is a nice deal (and with the benefit of free drinks and sunscreen). I had the pleasure of working there for a couple months as a ride op and I had a great time! Obviously they don’t have the budget of a chain park but they don’t really need to. I will say it’s quite a shift of home parks going from Cedar Point to Alabama Adventure haha! But we do have Rampage which is a really good coaster, and it’ll be even better as they’re retracking it for the 2025 season. A great and very accurate review from you and good to hear other perspectives on my home park👍

@@CanobieCoaster With it being closed for all of this season, I’d be willing to guess most if not all of it. I never minded it being a little rough but I would always hear people there say it’s too much for them. That one part about halfway through the ride is pretty bad but the rest of it was fine for me. At the very least, they’ll retrack that one section. And at most, they’ll just do the whole thing or like 90% if I had to guess

They had a rollercoaster called Boomerang that was the only other ‘big’ coaster, it was a steel coaster that would break down constantly. They used to have a ferris wheel too, there was a ton of rides on the ‘dry side’ (as we’d call it) but it seems like they’ve taken it all down. I haven’t been since like the early 2010s, lived around Birmingham my whole life and can count on one hand how many times we’ve been.

This does look like a nice fun amusement park, but I'd probably wait a few more years for them to add a few more rides before going. I feel that this area just can't attract enough people for a large theme park. Why go to a small amusement park when you can drive 2 more hours and visit Six Flags over GA. It's mostly for people that live in the Birmingham area. The park might get more visitors if they could add a resort hotel with options for adults like, mini golf, driving range, night life, restaurants, live music and shows but then again, idk if the area could sustain it.

I went and the main coaster is ROUGH. I could only ride it once. And unfortunately, the wild mouse was closed because of rain. It was very clean, but empty and I don't want to pay to go again, but I guess I have to in order to get the credit. Too bad they closed the wooden roller coaster at Waterville USA. I never rode it because I was too cheap as a kid, but I regret it now. I went to Waterville 10 times or so because I lived near it.

This park is similar to lake winnie in that you really have to go and do both the water park and the amusement side in order to get your money's worth out of it. Go for the water park and catch a few rides on the coasters on the way out is what we usually do. The current ownership has done a great job building up the water park and is slowly but surely bringing back the amusement park. This park is 10 times better now than it was when the current owners took over operations. Definitely headed in the right direction.
