Canoe Balmoral - Ballater in Old Town Discovery 119, grade 2 rapids

Just watched your video of the Old Town 119. I’m thinking of getting one for use on Sea Lochs and Inland Lochs in particular, Loch Sunart and Loch Shiel, both local to me. I’m BCU 3* but both these waters can get pretty choppy at times…..what do you think?

I would be causious on the sea, weather can change quickly, and the west coast tide are strong and complex. If paddling alone you would need to be sure you can reenter the boat and bail. As a short canoe 11'9" straight tracking is not so good but manouverability is

Have you got two seats in that, or are you kneeling facing backwards ?

I am kneeling facing backwards - which I find works well in white water
