I spent 3 nights and 4 days on the Connecticut River canoe camping with Justin from @ItsGoodintheWoods . Our adventure started in Canaan and ended at the takeout at Guildhall. The paddle was approximately 50 river miles, and included rapids, covered bridges, and trout! This paddle was important because it is my longest river trip yet. It is also my first rapids experience. We encountered simple quick water, up to a Class II section. The fishing was great, and the views even better.
The Connecticut River Paddlers Trail site is incredibly informative. Maps can also be purchased on the site.
