Great trip Fitzy! Taking the canoe is an amazing way to get away from the crowds. I really enjoyed this one. You’re very fortunate that you didn’t lose your paddle.😂 Tight lines!🙏❤️😎👍

@michaelgraves5188 haha that was a close call Mike. Would have been a long ride back with no paddle 🤣 Gonna try and find some more accessible areas by canoe for future outings. Very nice having a bit of privacy. Thanks buddy!

Those Catfish love crashing a party! That's a sweet spot, and those Carp made it a good day. Carp aren't fast, but sheer power, like a truck geared for stump pulling.

Sheer power for sure Russell. That's a fact. That big Ole tail can move some water. Thanks brother!

Gorgeous day on the river, we’re in the throws of a hot and humid spell. Nice setup and a really cool spot. No sense in worrying about what they weigh unless you get a really big one but a 10-12 pounder is a pretty sweet way to start the day. That spot was a catfish honey hole, we used to eat a bunch of catfish when we lived in Oklahoma, haven’t had catfish in over 30 years thought. Uh oh here we go….. double hook-up mayhem, fish #2 was another nice 10 pounder, was hoping that fish # 1 would get himself unhung but it was not to be. That’s fishing. The cat / carp combo double is a little easier to deal with. Great day to just chill on the shore catching cookie cutters.👍

Haha yes, that cat/carp combo was much easier to deal with Don. I've never eaten channel cat, but plenty of bullhead back in the day. We used to go hard for the bullhead every spring. Thanks buddy. Hope the weather cools dome for you. It's been a hot spell here too, then followed but some shorter cool spells. Already looking forward to fall lol.

@@AmericanCarpAngler Hate wishing my life away but I’m looking forward to Fall as well for a few reasons, #1 is for our Sept Kayak Camping Adventure, #2 to get rid of these Damn Deer Flies, worst they’ve been in a long time …. oh yeah and #3 Jesses’ Arizona wedding in November. Don’t tell Karen I put the wedding at #3 but I just going in chronological order.

you need some swingers or hangers that attach under the alarm and clip on to the line, they put weight on the line and keep it always taut, in this way the alarm will sound when the fish leaves but also when it comes to the shore

I've got bobbins. Just don't use them on these short sessions, as I'm watching the tips anyways, so I can hey cameras turned on. Maybe I'll use them in the future, especially on longer or overnight sessions. Thanks for the info though 👍

Hi Fitz brother, loving the vids on both channels. Its always nice to see you catch, the 30 is waiting 😀If you would like to email me I have some items of kit you will find useful on the bank. Unfortunately I dont get to fish much now due to ill health but as I have been an angler for over 50 yrs I have spare items I will never use. If you would like me to send you some let me know here and I will send you my email. Keep the vids coming brother, best wishes from across the pond, stay safe and take care.

I really do appreciate your support on both channels Marc and so sorry to hear that you can't get out much anymore to fish. I'm glad the videos provide you with some entertainment. That alone makes doing them completely worth it, and I'll definitely keep them coming. It's a hobby that I truly enjoy, and if they bring any joy to anyone, then that's an added bonus for me. I appreciate the offer and would be interested in any of items that you think I may find useful on the bank. I could cover the cost. Thanks again brother for the support. My email is fitzy0311@yahoo.com

Did you steal that hat from a 6 year old boy?🤣😂🤣

Really! Get yourself a Tilley, I bought mine about 25 years ago, still going strong. Expensive, but worth every penny.

I'll check it out. Don't really use this hat for sun protection. Nice lightweight hat that packs into my PFD pocket. Nice for dropping in the water to get it wet, wringing it out and wearing it wet on those scorching hot days.
