After watching one episode a month ago subscribe myself to your channel because your content is by far the best I've seen. What I really like is your short summon about what you are doing (or gonna do) and your thoughts at the moment. No endless talking through the video... just beautiful landscapes, good music and quality editing. So relaxing to see your video's after a day of work or in my free time. In some kind of way it soothes me... Greetings from Belgium.

The amount of star's & the brightness of them up north in Canada just boggles my mind. You are so lucky, it's truly beautiful. We just don't get night skies like that down here in the south US where I live. You've got to be out in the wilderness, away from the city lights to really enjoy a beautiful night sky. That is why I enjoy your video's so much, you take me where I can't physically go. ❤😊

What a beautiful place to take us to and share. So refreshing to see someone using a proper canoe paddle, the true tool for the job. I also want to thank you for focusing on the paddle parts and views of the area over just showing what you are cooking up on the fire as many do. It is ultimately the journey on the water that is the most important and being able to see all the scenery is the best part. Your pup makes me laugh and your vids warm my heart, helps to ease the sadness of this year's canoe season coming to an end. I wish you luck on your channel and look forward to what you have to come.

Hello from Wyoming. Outstanding work . I know we get caught up in the beauty of the landscape and imaging ourselves taking a trip like this; or maybe remembering our own. It is easy to forget the hard work that it must take to bring all these images together in a way that moves us to experience it again for ourselves. Thank you for the effort. I am also late in having discovered your videos and I must admit that I love them whether you are alone or your partner is with you. What I appreciate alone with the beauty of the areas you paddle through is that there is no drama, I follow some who feel they need to add some drama and it takes away from the scenery, so thank you for the quality of your videos❤️❤️

What a great fall trip. We used to canoe a lot when young mostly in Killarney, and always took our border collie with us. She would sit and watch the world go by and especially loved the portages. Now, I only solo kayak and cannot take my current collie. To camp and have that companionship is priceless. I am glad I found your site (through a video with Tosh Self-propelled) and will enjoy watching many more, and I really like your music choices.

Wow! What an amazing canoe trip. And don't get me started on the perfect weather! Never seen a video of this length with nothing but great weather. Makes you miss the great outdoors even more. The one thing I was surprised at was the limited amount of wildlife. Aside from the Heron, Beaver, Loons and Bass, not much else. Well I guess you can't have Moose and Deer in every video, then it just wouldn't be special would it! Great video, keep them coming!!

You r getting the knack for this! This is some superior editing/production. Temagami looks choice, third good vid of 3 I've watched of it. I suppose way less busy than Algonquin and Killarney? I think I need to switch to gum boots instead of hikers, I never get into the water like you, Xander, and others.
@CanoeTheNorth3 жыл бұрын
Thanks very much Brent! Appreciate that comment very much. We are trying hard to make our videos as high quality as we can. As far as Temagami goes it really is n amazing place. I was lucky enough to do two trips there this summer. The first trip (video still to come) was maybe the nicest scenery of any park I've been to yet in Ontario. Definitely much less travelled then Algonquin and Killarney. This was a fairly easy trip but from what I saw on my last trip there Temagami is not easy. Some of the portages are brutal! Amazing place though. Hope you get there next summer!

I was so happy to learn that Hap Wilson was alive and at the 'cabin' in Tamagami. I reviewed his first. autobiographical book but losst track of him after that.

We should be able to pause the video, and comment on the wonderful sight that you are giving us at that moment. Great waterfowl scenes at 22 minutes or so. Do you know the name? When you talk about the beaver going under your canoe, I was thinking that the beaver would be going back to its home and telling the missus that there was another one of those bleeping canoeists pushing through our food collection system! That Bleepity bleep!

Hahah…ya I’m sure they get a little frustrated with all the canoeists in the summer! That bird was a great blue heron I believe. Beautiful bird!

What a beautiful video to watch. You definitely captured the scenery, sounds and, dare we say, the feeling of a canoe-trip. Looks like a beautiful spot to canoe and we will have to add it to our wish list. We just discovered your channel this morn; it will provide balm for the soul as we put up our canoes for the winter. Keep your stick on the ice and your paddle in the water! Cheers from la belle province 🇨🇦

Keenen, I'm starting to plan a trip to Temagami in 2024 and it would be a big help if you added a little route report. Just the names of the lakes and the access point would be enough. It looks like the portages on the route aren't as brutal as some in Temagami, and at my age that makes a difference. ;)

Hello and thank you for the message. Im really sorry but I promised the person that gave me this route that I wouldn't disclose where exactly it was. I apologize but hope you understand.

Love the cinematography and those fall colours are amazing, you really lucked out with that weather it seems!! Watching your video took us back to our two week trip there earlier this Sept, I kind of love that you didn't tell us where exactly you were, my partner and I kept trying to guess and it just made it that much more fun to watch! Thanks for taking us back :)

Glad that not knowing exactly where I was made the video more enjoyable. I got really lucky with the weather. It was just tooooo nice to be at work! Hope your trip was great. Two weeks in Temagami that time of year is just about perfect!

Fall - my favorite time of the year - usually not tooo hot or too cold - plus all those wonderful colors and this video certainly had colors - this was another one of complete enjoyment. I have noticed it seems you use lake or river water for drinking and cooking - how do you treat it to make it 'safe' ?

Thank you very much! Yes we either use an ultraviolet light filter or chlorine tablets. Both work very well for us
