Battery on R5C is fixed with the new R52 battery. It runs twice as long.

Just at the bride's entrance the R5C battery dead, so since then i dont think about this camera anymore

The real Question is… do you miss the DGO censor look with the C80? Thats what I’ve been wanting to know since the release… Is the image on the c80 as pleasing? Resolution barely matters past 4k, I love the full frame look though and canon knows people were JONESING for a full frame DGO censor cause DGO looks magical and filmic. So what’s the deal? Does the C80 have the mojo or no? Haha

R1C ? the R1 is already an R1(c) they gave it C-log 2... Everything I need to know is if the perfect set for small production and photo is: - C400 (C-log 2, 26MP) - R1 (C-log 2, 24MP) - RF 15-35 F2.8 - RF 24-105 F2.8 ??

Why was the R52 not mentioned at all as a competitor to the FX3

Because it overheats and is more of a photo focused camera first whereas the FX3 is video focused. You can’t shoot all day with the R52 like you can with the FX3. I have the canon R5C specifically because I don’t have to worry about it overheating

@@cyrusperry6482 L take. Clog2 > Slog3. 8k > 4k. and I also have the R5C, unusable without a vmount for longer than 3 hrs If you have a full production day which puts it in the same boat as the R5ii for battery life. and I would take the IBIS over the power hungry fan in the C

@@true_north_media yeah you can do 8k for 23 minutes then it overheats lol. I love canon but if I were to do an all day video shoot and had a choice of FX3 vs Canon R52 I’m taking the fx3. Last thing I want is a client waiting for my camera to cool down and missing shots. Once you have a camera overheat on you during a paid shoot that anxiety is always gonna be there and can be distracting.

@@true_north_media also Arri cameras shoot 4k so is the canon R52 better than those cameras lol? Everyone’s work flow is different and the canon R52 is most likely not gonna hold up against the FX3 when it comes to shooting times without overheating. I wish canon would come out with a camera as small as the fx3, that’s fully video focused like it as well. I’m looking at getting a Canon C70 or C80 as those are more video focused cameras with an easy workflow for what I do. The Canon R52 is a great camera but I don’t think putting it against an FX3 is a great comparison as the R52 will overheat in any hot environment if it’s continuously filming. Especially in 8k mode.

I’ve been filming with canon R5M2 for about a month. With the fan grip I shoot all day with no overheating Issues. I used to only shoot with the C70. The r5m2 is holding its own in clog2.

A quick scan of the comments and I see no mention of the glass. When talking of sharpness surely this is the major factor. I understand censor size but the glass has to be the contributing factor. Asking because I think it’s important. Thanks for the video
