Certain EF-S lenses can give great image quality for very little money. I bought an old C100 mk2 cinema camera that I am currently learning to use and have been more than happy with them and the 55-250 IS constantly surprises me even compared to my old 70 -200! The old 10-22mm is also great on my 40d. But yes, they dont have weather sealing or that heavy L feel about them

Any lens made in the past ~10 years is going to have very good image quality. Being light weight is great if you're going to be carrying it around for a long time.

I own an 850D .. First camera .. Great! 10/18 - 18/55 - 55/250 - 17/300 Macro - I tend to just use the first and last on the list. Looking to ascend into full frame ... But cheaply ... As it'll be working alongside my current setup. So 5D or 6D ... Looking for ability to astro .. Northern lights ..

The Rokinon 14mm F/2.8 was popular. You can find them for less than $200.

Ef-s lenses are garbage. The only one worth buying is the 55-250M IS II if you find it cheap

Isn't the IS STM better? Also the 17-55 is great

Gotta start somewhere ... It's all a learning curve
