Thanks a lot for these filmic picture styles. This is what I looking for a while. Works pretty good with Canon 77D. Little tip for those of you using Digital Photo Professional 4 (native canon editing software) - you can easily apply these styles in post production to RAW files, it does fantastic job there. So, I use mostly crowdak and filmic base, as my presets in DPP4. Big up!

You did it great. You're pleasant to listen to, you're natural and real, you're not playing anyone. Your picture styles are great, I've been testing them for several days. I have Fuji and Canon, but I always spent time in RAW and post-production, I started to get fed up with it, I felt a desire for simplicity, i.e. beauty combined with saving time. JPG straight from the can. I took some test shots with Fuji and Cc and Nc are my favorites now. But what about Canon? There must be some possibility... ;). And so, after a few hours of KZbin and browsing the Internet, I found you :) Thank you. You did a great job. You have the right to be proud of yourself. I've also been following Cam Mackey for a few years now and I really like his style. But I feel that your picture styles, working and having fun with them, will have the greatest impact on my further photographic fate.

Thanks for this , i had the chance to try one of your picture profile , than inspired by it made my own , however in my canon R8 i was able to use them only in photos in video mode the camera does not show the saved picture profile for some reason..

Hey Thomas, the picture styles you created motivated me to get more serious into photography! The Eurotrip and Filmic Base are my favorite! With the Ricoh GRiii becoming really popular, I was wondering if there is a way to simulate its positive/negative effects?

Kind of, the fundamental idea behind these was to lock yourself in and treat it more like a film camera, going away from any or too much post processing.

For the G7X series you want another software called picture registration tool. It should pop up on Canons website if you search for your model. I did a video asking viewers for their expertise on this topic since I don't have access to that camera. They filled the comment section with advice and know how around this. It's called something with G7x and the thumbnail says "help"

I'm sorry but I don't know. Hopefully I know some ha e had successfully transferred from computer to camera over Wi-Fi connection. But sure if there’s a similar software for Android. Maybe reach out to Canon. If they don't have it, Hopefully lots of people ask them for it and it'll roll out in the future.

Oh, the monitor I started using was the Feelworld F6 Plus. I would not recommend that monitor today as there’s newer models with higher resolution and brightness.

Is it at all possible to do these custom picture styles for Lightroom? I would love to be able to make my smartphone photos look similarly color-graded as the SOOC canon photos.

Sadly there's no way to convert them to LR presets.

Hey Thomas, I appreciate your work a lot, I like the styles and the look more than the Fujifilm filmsimulations. The picture style editor is a great tool (imo), you can push the colors in every way, but it's hard to use. So(too) many options. Thanks for your hard work, this is so awesome! Keep it up!

Does anybody know if those styles fully work with my old eos 550D? I can transfer the styles to my camera, but I don't see big differences in the image itself between the different styles. Thx!

If you can import and select them in the camera menu they should be working.

So I experimented some more with the crowdak setting, now with wb set to tungsten to boost those blues more like your example and absolutely loving it now. Thank you for making me pick up my old dslr more and more ❤

@@thomasfransson do you know of a work around for the problem of EOS Utility not being compatible with the new Mac OS Sonoma version 14? EOS Utility is not compatible with the new operating system.

Sorry to hear this, I'm on pc so I'm not super up to date with mac. Hopefully Canon will release a working update soon. Or maybe some here in the comments knows of a workaround? Sorry for not being able to help.
