Canon HF R60 / HF R62 / HF R600 HD Camcorder Review - Sample footage, WiFi, and more

This review is of the HF R60 but this camera is the pretty much the same from a functional and image quality standpoint as the HF R62 and HF R600. It's also the same as last year's Vixia's the HF R50, R52, and R500.
The HF R60 has 8 gigabytes of on board flash storage and the HF R62 has 32 gigs of onboard storage along with a larger battery.
The HF R600 lacks the onboard storage and WiFi. But in my opinion is the best value, especially considering how cheap SD cards are and how useless the WiFi remote feature is on the other two models.
Video quality is good and exactly the same as last year. The cameras suffer from graininess in low light situations but do well under decent lighting. If you're a KZbin looking to use this for your own productions I suggest buying some studio lights.
The camera feels nice in the hand, it's very light weight and easy to control. The stabilization features are superb and can correct a lot of shakiness that your hand might introduce. It's "P" mode the stabilization method can be adjusted - the more aggressive (and smooth) stabilization comes reduces its wider angles but is remarkably effective.
Battery on this model lasts for over 90 minutes when doing basic recording (less when outputting through HDMI).
The WiFi feature is still useless.. There is a long delay when issuing a command and seeing the result of it on the screen. So while the camera will zoom right away when pushing the button in the app it'll take over a second for that action to appear back on the app. This was an issue before and it hasn't been fixed. The app also lacks any other controls beyond zooming and recording and won't work with an HDMI output when it's active.
With SD Cards coming down in price all the time an useless WiFi features, there's really no need to go with the expensive 60 or 62 models unless you really need the remote control functionality. Save yourself some money and go for the 600, or if you can find one, last year's 500 model.
