Canon New FD 35mm F2 - Lens Test

Lens test for the Canon New FD (nFD, FDn) 35mm F2 using the Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 4K. The test looks at overall image quality, sharpness, flares, bokeh and breathing, with and without a speedbooster.
This specific lens has been cine-modded with a declicked aperture, focus gear, 80mm OD front ring and a Canon EF-mount. This however has no effect on the image.

Nice review! You should try the FD 28-50 f3.5 and 24-35 f3.5 two of the best FD zooms, sharp wide open and parfocal. You can also get the early chrome nose 35mm f2 concave at a good price and is optically identical to the SSC version.

I´m currently putting together my own FD cine lens set. What are your experiences with the simmod EF mount and speed boosters? Any problems with lens elements touching the speed booster?
