Hi, thank you for this video... watched it for the third time I guess... quick question, what would be your suggestion about maintaining focus on a moving subject like a person jogging or running?
@DillonProductions4 жыл бұрын
Thank you for stopping by! That's a tough question to answer in a single comment. There are many variables that go into it. The auto focus isn't all that great because it's more contrast based. I usually use manual focus when I can, but you can't control it it during video recording. I have to set it up before hand and hope that the subject stays in that line of focus. Just limitations of this camera to be aware of.

@DillonProductions4 жыл бұрын
It's very challenging to have a blurry background when filming yourself with this camera. The camera has to be very far away and zoomed in as much as possible. You have to keep in mind the distance between your background, the subject (you), and your camera. However don't expect to get as blurry of a background as more expensive cameras (DSLR for an example). But, hey, I wouldn't let that stop you from making any video now with what you have.

Yo' great video, I've a question tho... I have this same camera, but when recoding (it's set to 1080) the quality is just so bad, nothing like the quality you show in the sx510 clip... full of noise. Did you denoise the footage in post? or was raw from the camera, if so.. any idea to why i'm getting so much noise?
@DillonProductions4 жыл бұрын
Denoising your footage is a great option. I personally don't do it for the SX510, I try to shoot in situations where the lighting is very good to minimize the noise. Try filming in brightly lit situations. You can shoot near a window during the day if you have to, or buy some lights.

Great question! I very briefly covered this at 2:43 of this video. The only thing is you can't adjust ISO, Shutter speed or Aperture during video mode. It's adjusted all at once with the bracket that comes up after you press up on the scroll wheel. Hope that made sense!

How we save slowmo video and how we shoot slowmo video in this powershot sx 510 HS plz tell me bro..?
@DillonProductions4 жыл бұрын
If you scroll down til you see camera icon, tap right on the scroll wheel then scroll down to the icon of the man running behind by the camera you be in slow motion mode. Only thing is, it records in Standard Definition, not HD.

Hey would you recommend the same settings for the 530 hs?
@DillonProductions4 жыл бұрын
I haven't played around with the 530 hs too much (mostly because there's no 24fps). I don't know how transferable this info will be for the 530hs since the layout is a little different. But 90% of the settings mentioned should be applicable in the 530 hs.
@Khaleeel4 жыл бұрын
Dillon Productions thanks would say 510 is better than the 530?
@DillonProductions4 жыл бұрын
Not necessarily. There are pros and cons when shooting video with both of these cameras. Even though I love how the 530 HS has 60fps (that's slow-motion territory) they removed 24fps and only put in 30fps and 60fps. For me, 24fps was more important me to I stuck to the SX510 HS.

Dillon Productions okay thanks man, I’m actually gonna sell my 530 hs and buy the canon eos m until I could afford better, I’ve been falling in love with the clips I’ve seen of it so far

If I want to make video blogs on KZbin, is this camera worth it?
@DillonProductions4 жыл бұрын
It depends. Are you going for more of a cinematic or stylized look to these vlogs? or do you just want something to help document what you're doing? And ultimately what's your budget?

can you use flash while recording a video
@DillonProductions3 жыл бұрын
Hey Erik! Unfortunately, flash cannot be used during recording. Depending on what you'll be filming, I'd recommend using a light kit to get the best results!

Do you recommend this camara in 2020 to someone that just wants to take good quality pics?

Hey! It depends on your budget, and what you plan on shooting often.

Can i film on 60 fps??
@DillonProductions4 жыл бұрын
Unfortunately you can't film in 60 fps on this camera. This can only record in 30fps in SD and 720p, 24fps in 1080p. 240 fps and 120fps in SD when slow motion video is enabled.

what is the best way to download the clips onto a computer?

Typically the SD card port is my preferred way of moving the footage to the computer, but you can also try the USB cable that came in the box.
