Great review! I’ve had the R6 mk2 for about 6 months now and absolutely love it. It can do anything I’d ever want to do and much more. Its autofocus is top-tier, low light performance is unbelievable, solid IBIS, and photo/video quality is A+. Battery life is fantastic as well. I’ll have this camera for many years!

I'm on day 2 with mine, steep learning curve coming from years of Fuji. I got it for AF, and photography. Maybe 1% video.

Yeah really steep learning I’ll say and I’m sure you’ll find the video capabilities very good. My guess is it’s more than 80% after consistent use 😃

I’ve been Fuji user for 5 years and now I’ve bought this r6 mkii. For photography and I’m waiting for the rf28-70mm f2 lens to arrive and I’ve bought it for photography only

Good review but I totally disagree about the camera consuming battery. Whenever I am out doing a shoot, 1 battery can last me more than 4hrs shooting AND taking pictures. 4k 60 does overheat and mine topped at 33mins. But the other 4k modes, no over heating whatsoever.

Yes, I was referring to shooting at 4k60. This mode sure consumes the battery faster and makes it overheat. I stay in a climate that is quite hot so you can imagine how quickly it runs temperature 😄

Oes it overheats at 4k60

I haven’t had an overheating issue on mine ever. But I did with the original R6.

Does it ever overheats in 1080p ?

No it doesn’t, even for long time recording

Does it overheats at 4k60?

In my experience, yes. It’s a bummer if you have to record at that quality for a long period of time otherwise, it’s perfect
