Everything poops!!! Oh Peter, those pelicans are simply stunning. You have some amazing shots here. The terns are really cool too and I like it when they are skimming the water and hunting - that is fun to watch, but your pelican shots..... amazing!!! 🙏🤗💖

Stunning stuff Peter mate. Love the intro with the drone tracking and shame about the GoPro But the R7 does the business once again!! Even where you were not able to get a decent backdrop, the photos were just so sharp. I’ll be returning to these vids in a few weeks, should be acquiring this camera in a couple of weeks. Very much looking forward to using it. Have a great weekend mate

Great video Peter and some ripping images too. I really need to get my sorry backside out and about to do some bird photography. There;s been a bit happening so it's had to be put on the back burner for a while. Did one of those terns have a leg ring? Anyway, keep up the good work. All the best.

This is why this lens is still so expensive in the used market. Ridiculous prices even for ones with scratches and dust and fungus. Stuck with my Tamron G2 for now. Can't justify the expense, especially given my location and how often I get out. And even when I do, the wildlife are all hiding in underground bunkers that day.
@peterviragphoto Жыл бұрын
Got mine for 2.4k AUD 6 years ago but now it’s much more expensive:( I’d still choose this over the RF 100-500 , that one costs significantly more here. As long as your Tamron provides you with decent results, then definitely stick with it! Have a nice weekend!
@ArcanePath360 Жыл бұрын
@@peterviragphoto Thanks. The Tamron lets me down a lot in terms of focus. I do get the odd great picture that I'm satisfied with, but there's just something about the clarity in an L lens that's missing with it. I borrowed a 100-400 once and noticed this also had focus problems some of the time so nothing is perfect, but I think my hit rate would go up. I'm actually more into macro now though and am having more fun and success with Laowa lenses and subject matter that actually shows up

I know this comment is 4 months old but I actually got a phenomenal second hand one for 1951 AUD last year January. (I'm South African - bought it for R24500) Understandably that's still ridiculously expensive but there are definitely decent options out there 😊
@ArcanePath36011 ай бұрын
@@robynsmith6974 I wouldn't call that an option. I've been getting into macro photography and picked up a Laowa 100mm Dreamweaver for £300 on ebay in good as new condition, which is even sharper than the 100-400 L. Granted it's only a prime but getting into macro and leaving wildlife saves you a $hit tonne of moolah.
