I have one and don't see any CA. Optically surpasses the EF II version. But I use this mostly for photography. Maybe in video mode it's a different story.

With IS the lens would’ve been heavier and bulkier. Plus the new RF cameras are so good with IBIS, you don’t need IS. Especially on a wide lens 🤷♂️

That’s exactly what I want, heavier and bulkier for the option of having it

For a wide lens, lens image stabilization isn’t necessary. Especially since cameras have IS.

I’d rather have it and not use it then not have it and want it!

Thanks for the vid, I've been on the fence about it. Nice that it's sharp, but the CA when you're trying to get a much more clinical or clean commercial look is a deal breaker, and with no IS when Canon's cine line only supports digial IS was an odd choice. Perfect for hybrid shooting, but maybe not their cinema line even though they showcased it with the c400. I already have the rf 15-35, 24-70, and an EF L 1.8 85mm in my basic kit... At this point I'm looking almost exclusively at cine glass going forward. Also waiting a c400 :)
