I've read the 200d manual twice and missed the bit about adding the video start/stop function to the shutter button....after several weeks of fustration with the video option i'm now finding it much easier to use! I'm a happy bunny! Thanks SO much for producing these videos....much better than the manual that came with the camera :)

Got a deal I couldn't refuse today. 250d + 18-55 kit lens for a total of only 449€. I will use it primarily for timelapse 4k videos, as it is far superior to my Nikon D5600 in that task. Was extremely disappointed that on the Nikon you cannot shut off the LCD while taking timelapse videos, thus is drains the battery after 3.5 hours of taking cloud formations. Thanks for the awesome informative video, that helped me decide on this as a second camera.

At about 9:25 you talk about the zoom button, which I appreciate because I thought my camera had crappy zoom until I learned that lol. But...I used it, got really zoomed in and then focused. You did a really great job explaining all of the main functionality of this camera at a pace that was easy to understand for me. I really appreciate the way that you communicate. I have always had Canon SX cameras (3 total) and this would be my first DSLR. I haven't bought it yet but I am leaning towards this one vs the t7i or the t8i as I think it is a good value for the money. I am interested in shooting sports, portraits and wildlife. I hope that the SCN options buried in the menus don't become frustrating vs having it on the dial. Although it looks like there are many more preset modes to choose from in there. That will be important to me as I am not familiar with all of the manual settings. Thanks again for a great video. I'm subscribing. Keep up the good work!

Great video! Just bought this camera, and this is super useful! I have a question though - to use external mic, I need to select manual in the settings. This can only be done in M setting in the mode dial. Can I then switch back to Auto and still use the external mic, or can I only use it in Manual? Thanks so much! Keep up the great work!

Hi. You don't need to be in M modes (for shooting) to use the MANUAL feature for sound recording. However, I definitely recommend that you always shoot in M instead of auto because of: kzbin.info/www/bejne/iHXWXo2wl5Wjo6c let me know what you think.

Thank you so much for this. Purchased this camera about a month and a half ago and I really had no idea how to use it, but this video has been very helpful to me. I'm struggling with connecting a mic to it though, I've adjusted the setting but still no sound.

Wow! I'm a beginner. Im choosing between 250d and M50 also A6000 to buy. And I'm leaning towards M50. But because of the battery issue of M50 and after watching this video, now I am so confused. I really want to learn more about DSLR so I thinkn 250d is a good camera to start with. Subbed!!!
