A bike ride on the Queen Creek Wash Trail with the old and irritating Canon SX120IS. I got this for $5 I believe, part of a bulk camera purchase. The camera still shoots great images, but it is quite irritating when starting up. It doesn't save the data and time, possibly due to the dead CMOS battery that is the memory back up. And sadly, I got lots of lens errors. Probably why it was donated to Goodwill.
This will be the last rendezvous with this camera. I will be donating it so somebody else can experience it's quirks as well, and hopefully will bring more money to help people in need.
I thought it would be funny to hit this camera with an orange rubber mallet (what I use for leatherworking), as part of a joke and to surprise people. After I did that, the camera shut off, as well as the turntable, it stopped rotating. Not sure why I did that, maybe after an hour's worth of bike riding and the camera throwing lens errors, along with asking me to set the date every time I started it up. Yeah, that's why I did that. It still works like usual, so no harm done. I know, I'm weird.

No idea why you made this video or why it was even recommended to me, but when I looked at the camera it reminded me of the only camera I've ever bought which, so I went to confirm and yes it is Canon PowerShot SX130 IS. I've made hundreds of photos on it when I was travelling. And those photos still look great. But most impressive part - I checked the price it it was barely $200 for a new camera on batteries which I thought it was limitation back then, but turns out it is a big plus now, when most devices have built in batteries that you have no idea how long will last and how to replace them in future. Just realizing that more than 10 years old camera can still operate given a couple of the charged AAA seems supernatural. Pretty cool stuff. Thanks for sharing.

Yes, I agree. It's nice not to have to rely on specialized batteries and chargers, when you can scrounge for some AAA batteries, or keep extra when traveling.

I don't know the exact time, but I can use it for maybe 4 days, on and off shooting.
