You explain things clearly and slowly, like a teacher. Thanks. Most other videos on the same topic, they gibber away like squirrels on speed, in order to cram more content into a 5-minute tutorial, and then follow it up with, "Smash that like button!" Your videos are actually helpful. I subscribed and liked. Awesome!

Thank you! I just bought a T8i as my first DSLR, and even though I did research beforehand, I didn’t know half of what my new camera was capable of. I’ll be back to reference this video again in the future.

One question in settings no mention of Mexico City time How could I set it to Mexico City we want change our clocks no more it will be the same forever
@Shutterbug10110 ай бұрын
Hello! So sorry for the delayed response! Finally getting to these. For Mexico City, it would be Central Standard Time, so I believe Canon shows Costa Rica/El Salvador/Guatemala possibly to meet that time zone. Hope that helps!

An EXCELLENT video. Very well done and comprehensive. I have used a t3i and a t6i for about 10 years. My t3i crashed so I got the t8i. It has some nice features but ones I need to learn. This video help a great deal. Thanks Sam

I don't even have this camera in hand yet, and already I anticipate revisiting this video as often as needed until I'm comfortable and confident enough to take off the training wheels and move forward with starting a business that I can call my own...

Excellent video for a first-time owner like me! Quick question on sensor cleaning where you suggest to take to a pro to clean, but the camera automates this when turned off, so I wanted to make sure I understood. Thankyou again!

Great video, my camera should be arriving today. Question: When in video mode can you hit the shutter button to still take pictures?
@Shutterbug1012 жыл бұрын
Good question. In the video mode, you cannot take pictures while you do video. While that was a capability in older models, they took it out as it would stop taking the frames of video while it took the photos, making the video look incomplete

Im still looking at older cameras in my price range trying to decide what to buy. Im having issues figuring out which camera I want. M60 , M50 Mark 2, Sl3 or the Canon T8i
@Shutterbug1012 жыл бұрын
First things first, you need to decide if you want mirrorless or dslr first! Maybe this will help! kzbin.info/www/bejne/iXXLdndpj8p0h68 If you go mirrorless, if you like using a viewfinder most of the time vs the lcd, get the M50. If you go dslr, if you are going to do as much video or more than photos, get the sl3.

@@Shutterbug101 I've been shooting Olympus since a good friend gave me an OM-1 for my first black and white photography class at San Diego City College. I've always appreciated their small and lightweight bodies. My other camera is an OMD EM-10 mk II, which is truly tiny! I do mainly landscape photography, so having something light enough to hike with is a priority. A lot of folks will diss MFT cameras, claiming poor image quality, but the EM-1 will do 50MP hand-held and 80MP on a tripod, can AF on stars, has decent CAF, and has fantastic glass available at decent prices. I absolutely love it! Anyway, just wanted to say I like the way you present information - it's very accessible and down-to-earth. Your voice is pleasant, and it doesn't hurt that you're cute as a button!

Hello. With the dial in AUTO mode and using the FINDER, why doesn't the photo size ratio appear in the shooting settings menu page 1? Only if I switch to LIVE VIEW mode THIS CHANGING POSSIBILITY WILL APPEAR. So if I use the viewfinder I get 3: 2 images. Is there anything wrong? Thanks for your answer Pietro
@Shutterbug1012 жыл бұрын
The ratios will show more options in the live option because live is typically used for video rather than photos.

All depends on the situation and its better than maxing it to its ability! Yes, Ideally you would want to max it at 1600, but for beginners, they would rather get the shot, even if it is noisy.
