Canon TC20M 24"x36" landscape print from just 11MP - image editing and processing for big prints

Making a large 2 foot by 3 foot landscape photo print on the Canon TC20M [4] pigment ink printer. Are four inks enough for a landscape print. Is the gamut large enough, how to process a small [11MP] image for a large print.
Looking at how some images can work at a large size, whilst others just don't have the underlying quality. Is the Canon TC20M good enough for photo poster prints? How a good profile and careful editing of images helps. Includes examples of how I sometimes use soft proofing for some colour images.
