Doug's calm and congenial demeanor throughout the encounter (at least, the clips I've seen) is a wonderful model for me of Christian response to the (misguided, deceived) enemy. Contra my own response of churning stomach and boiling blood. The Lord has used the moment to remind me that until He poured out His grace over me 27 years ago, I was no less stupidly smug in my blind ignorance of Him and His truth. A reminder to pray for the blessing of His mercy and grace to grant salvation to everyone involved in that production.

@@JoiskiMe I listen to Pastor Doug on a regular basis. He is serious with the scriptures and not a coward. Believers like hime is an encouragement to believers all over the world. Pastor Doug is a true blessing. Such persons are often misunderstood while they are alive but they are always appreciated when they are dead. We see this pattern even from the biblical days till now. A racist troll was mocking me that as "a black person, how come I listen to a white man who advocates slavery". I put him in his place pointed out his slander. He was claiming to be a professing christian but he had no coherent moral compass because of his equivocating postmodern presupposition. I told him that "it was fellow africans who were actually trading blacks for more silver spoons, sugar and mirror". My own clan was once enslaving other tribes and clans for profit. So slavery has always been in existence among all cultures. While some were parasitic others were beneficial depending on the type of slavery and the persons involved. Chattel slavery was not invented by the western world and until we are willing to address the issue holistically, no amount of talking point will do. Blaming a generation of whites who largely opposed Chattel slavery for this evil is not only unfair but also unreasonable and misleading. Doug is one of the few preachers who can state this fact without shying away. By the way, i love Voddie Baucham too. Glorification in victimization is not the solution especially for a christian. Our identity is in Christ as new creation whether white or black or brown or asian.i love preachers who don't bend the knees to appease the "woke mob" who have no reverence for God and consistent dignity for a fellow human. As cultures reject God and biblical values, it becomes unwise, hostile and incoherent in its world view. It in such dare moment like this that we need a pastor like Doug and soli Deo Gloria for such a vessel in a time such as this. May we all be inspired by his faithfulness and boldness to also stand firm for Christ irrespective of where we are on the globe.

Notice that the deacon accused of child pornography went straight to federal court. Contrast that with homosexual “rights” hero Larry Brinkin of San Francisco, who in 2012 possessed and shared reams of the most horrific images and videos of toddlers being raped. His case was limited to a gay-friendly California state court, which treated him with kid gloves by dropping the more serious felony of distribution, and gave him 6 months in a local jail followed by 6 months home arrest. He retained his SF city pension because they didn’t consider his felonies to be moral turpitude. A federal charge wouldn’t have been so lenient. But who was in charge of the justice system in 2012?
