Submission to transcendence will be the saviour of the West. There is no greater heroic deed for a man than to answer the call despite the world in which he lives - a mission that sets his soul on fire, that gives him the will and the willingness to sacrifice, to be forsaken, to die on the field of battle. For he knows that is his God-given purpose, and there is no greater freedom that being free of the chains of a fallen world. There is no higher glory than this.

For e.g. even before 30 yo, people are already married, and even with first children. While other non-christian acquaintances, specially woman are like "having children? In my 40s...". Or even ordering affection and sex through Tinder, like ordering a pizza. And changing partners.. 😕 It is so sad. And it is ugly, this objectification of people.

It may be good for society, but this ship is going down. I need to repent of my fatalistic mindset. Maybe after I tame eagles and serpents and sail around the world I’ll be able to meet a woman. Probably not gonna happen.

Because, as it says in 1st John, our enemies are the world, the flesh, and the devil. He who loves the world will not and does not love God. The world is deceived and does not submit to the authority of God as He has revealed it in His word. Our task is to repent of, turn away from, that worldly philosophy and embrace the directives of God which is the truth.

One of the problems in the church is that feminism is not addressed sufficiently and discipline tword women is done almost never. The church is still blaming only men for the loss of the family and fails to see that women are the main causers of that loss.

@Wendy Range women are adult children. Our foolish society decided it was ok to incentivise women with child support built on the back of the tender years doctrines that are still being used to give women all the rewards for divorce. And now women are the ones divorcing and then glorying ing the single mother worship while failing to raise their kids. I think I hear the kitchen calling you.

@@ds29912 I was just about to reply exactly what you just said. I believe that the men in the church would be more encouraged and be less frustrated at being bashed by both the world and the church to step up IF they actually SAW that the females - especially the single females were also corrected and disciplined for their out-of-control behavior and being out of alignment with God's Word to the point that they are not even trained to eventually become a good woman and henceforth an excellent wife. The single ladies also need to step up to become good women in order to become potentially excellent wives. Women need Christ every bit as much as the men do.

Hmm, so Paul failed as a man? His whole teaching that it's better to serve God and remain single is false? I'm not saying it's not right for some but this seemed like a reductive and tangental approach to the subject matter.

Zac, Paul was sharing his personal preference and opinion not a directive from God. Toby is correct. God’s plan for men (in general) is to marry and produce offspring. God does allow/call some men to be single in order to be more dedicated in service to him, but that is the exception not the rule for men. I’ve been single, and I am now married. I disagree with the apostle Paul in his preference of being single over being married. I prefer God’s opinion on the matter - “it is not good that man should be alone.”
