CANOO imagine all the folks who will flock to this in a heartbeat, if the price point is competitive. Most folks don't drive more than 250 miles in a day anyway, nowhere near that much. LOL. I got a beard and I love me some flannel so I'm cool with the color. Great video. If a person could get it for under 40 for a base model and it does charge to 80% in under 30 minutes, This could be a game changer. Time will tell.

No back seats in the Canoo pickup is a deal breaker for me, most pickups sold in the North America are extended cab or 4-door. The vehicle also looks narrower than a normal pickup.

Really what will make the decision for me is repair support. If I have to get it fixed in California where they're headquartered, it's gonna be a no-go. I would wait until this company grows a bit more and can handle the service demands for the vehicle.

Some good points there. Keep in mind though, EV's generally have way way fewer moving parts and don't require the sort of maintenance regular gas cars do.. You're right though, it's a hurdle they'll have to figure out - also, they're in the middle of relocating their offices to Oklahoma!

Optional battery upgrade is what I am looking for. The standard at roughly 200 miles range is definitely a tad low for my uses considering the 20-80% charge levels and degradation over time. Lastly, I will not pre-order or order until the crash test results are available.

Don't wait too long. None of the EV manufacturers seem to even be considering government contracts. The Canoo platform is (currently) by far the best option for multi-use, and it's unlikely to have serious competition in that space for quite a while. Unless there's a yet-undiscovered flaw with the platform, Canoo seems likely to succeed in my humble opinion.

Had a chance to check these out yesterday at the LA auto show, well not the truck, but the "lifestyle vehicle" and was impressed. Better in person for sure. But agreed, if Canoo can deliver at a decent price, they'll sell like crazy.

I want that pickup with a 8 foot flatbed I just don't like the layout of the bed to work out of more moving parts like that on something I'm going to be putting loose gravel and dirt in fairly often seems like a bad idea super cool truck.

@@GearboxPizza Well they just signed on to build the factory in Arkansas where the Walmart HQ is in. Selected Panasonic to make the batteries so sounds like it is a going. Not sure like you on the price in the end.
