HEY EVERYONE! OMG! How could you come to Costa Rica and not do a zip line... it's almost sacreligious. FYI- Zip lines are aka Canopy Tours. This one in particular in the La Fortuna/Arenal area is ONE of the BEST in Costa Rica. Big time ADRENALINE RUSH. Nothing better than sailing over the rain forest at 9000 mph... CHECK it OUT..so fun.

If I remember right it's 2 short lines for practice, 3 long lines after that, then 1 really long 55 second line, then one more short line to get you back to your car. :) very fun, highly recommended, for anyone that has a fear of heights especially :) I was terrified but at the sane time it's one of my best memories in my life now.

At the time I was terrified, but after I went on the first short one it just became fun. So if anyone plans to not do it because they are scared, just do it. It's awesome and you won't be scared once you try it.

I had spine fusion a year and a half ago. Do you think the zip line breaking would cause any discomfort? Or would you recommend that I skip it. I really want to do this.

But it never goes to a Costa Rica section. hi guys i really like ur videos! really helpful! i am planning to come to costa rica in march. i really wanna zipline. i was lookin at zip lining in monteverde. would u say zip lining is better in la fortuna or monteverde.. & if la fortuna is better do u recommend any places to go?

You wouldn't be disappointed by either location. But if we had to pick one, probably go with Monteverde..but it's really too close to call. Great ones here in la fortuna as well. That said, overall, La Fortuna is a better location in general, MUCH more to do.

I have been researching these costa rica tours since I will be heading over in September. My bf is convinced on the zip lining but I honestly am petrified of heights and speeds. What is the reality? How fast does it really go? Thanks you!

I doubt there's a height... and I'm sure the weight is pretty forgiving,,, because they do a lot of 'tandem' for kids and older folks (or anyone) not comfortable going down by themselves...

The weight limit that can be guaranteed is 217lbs. If you weight more than that they cant guarantee the harness will fit. it is recommended you visit and try the harness on. If you are in good health and the harness fits you should be okay.
