Good on ya buddy, people can be really snobby about canned products. Nothing wrong with it at all. Fried tinned potatoes are really tasty, either on their own, or once fried add some beaten eggs cheese ham anything really for a nice omelette or fritata

the pots i drain and slow heat with fresh water when warm up drain and butter to cover and add grated cheese quick heat and YUM

Hello Keith 😊 Really nice Idea and with so much on offer now in cans you could have a Feast Lol i think you should of had Tinned Prunes or Tinned Tapioca for youy Nat though with Custard haha 😂😂😂 i Love those Fray Bentos Pies and i also used to love the little Tinned Steamed Puddings by Goblin they were really nice too 😊

I've seen other reviewers trying this new range of Fray Bentos Soups Keith... And every single one of them has hated them... And ended up pouring them away... They really are that bad... Avoid them in future mate... But i can highly recommend the Asda own brand range of Soups... My favourite is their Asda Warming Oxtail Soup 400g for just £0.75... Personally i think it's even better than the much more expensive brand named Heinz Oxtail Soup 400g for £1.70... All the very best Keith... Cheers buddy. 🍺

When you over did the spice in the peaches, you should of removed the peaches, cleaned the pan and then started again by adding abit more suger to the peaches.

If you cut the pastry away from the edge of the tin like in the instructions , all that pastry goes crispy and rises.

Don't know what has happened to Fray Bentos, when was a kid in the 70s i remember them pies tasting ok with plenty of meat, not had them for years then i thought i would buy one, well why did i bother, there was hardly any meat and even the gravy was tasteless, never had the soups and don't think i will try after this. I suppose this is a result of cost cutting and using cheap ingredients even though the pies are now more expensive.

my you got fray Bentos soup. 69p farmfoods, Fat Andy did not like a different one they did. it was just coloured water and a fray Bentos pie really a pasty with a squirt of meat. for the price there are far better pies you can buy. just put a square of puffed pastry in the oven and make a mince or steak but you need to look at the meat content in the pie. very little may only be 70g and can be over £2.79 for it. was there a Total for the whole meal. now make the same thing better yourself. using what you spend on this
