As far as the shop owners go....It blows my mind that many of these people obviously left their own countries, to move here for a better life. They get to move here, they get granted citizenship....they obviously work hard and are smart enough to get to own their own business, then do nothing but try to scam. It baffles me.

& this show is from early 2000s not recent. Uk vehicle prices are also lower because they pay more for registration fees by a very large margin compared to USA for example and much higher insurance rates so vehicles there depreciate significantly more compared to places like USA

What you mention is just an isolated case. The vast majority of the country is immensely better off healthcarewise. People in the UK don't have to beg people not to call an ambulance when they need one. Just like in Ireland, The Netherlands, Belgium, Canada, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Germany, Austria, Spain, Portugal, basically every other developed nation has found a working solution. That is, if you can call that thrashpile of needles and assault rifles with a gucci belt on of yours a country. Having to beg on a site like gofundme for medical bills is just dystopian.

Okay, after doing some research, I should not have been so quick to defend the UK. I had no idea it was this bad, I was under the impression it had just as good free universal healthcare as my homecountry. We rank 3rd in healthcare innovation, 2nd in healthcare choice, and 5th in healthcare affordability. We in The Netherlands have it way better when talking about healthcare. Also infrastructure, and freedom, also overall happiness, but all that is not the point right now

And another thing, why are you so quick to blame the healthcare? You don't know the whole story. You guys have to fish for things to link to conclusions you have already made just to feel better about your own country. If they mentioned that he was not helped because of healthcare, your comment would be fair enough. It is far more likely he is just a stubbern manc who doesn't like change and refuses to go the docters for his hands. Which is a speculation as well, but far more likely to be true than whatever whataboutism you are using

It is defenitally not good in the UK, but not as bas as in the USA. I live in The Netherlands, which I am very happy about with regards to healthcare and social atmosphere. My main point was never to praise the UK. Just pointing out that it is not as bad as other countries

I just read of a case in the US of a woman who was left on a couch for years to slowly rot with no medical care and was found with maggots all over her when her body finally gave up. So anyone can play that 'look at this case' game.

The common theme of this show, Indian, Muslim and African immigrants & their children just seem to think they don’t have to pay. Not being racially motivated here I’m just saying seems like every other debtor on this show is from India, Pakistan, the Middle East, or Africa

@@theresaohman7187 true I’m just saying the show seems to show a disportioncate number of immigrant debtors compared to uk citizen debtors. If you watch a few episodes it’s like 3/4 of the stories focused on immigrant debtors with 1 maybe….. 2 actual uk citizens shown
