I vent my trailer exhaust under to an enclosed space that covers the entire perimeter, at -33C the basement was +.7C, this year I added a 170w heater at -8c it is 10c under and 11C inside with only 170w of heat. Rug buddy under rug heater the 60w would keep the quackers warm. I have 2 60w I bought Nov8 taken hostage by Canada Post then I can add more heat that doesn't use 36kw a day. I insulated to the ground under the trailer but with the basement heat I have a lot of leakage even though it is airtight it melts all the snow 1ft around the trailer, more floor insulation next year. When you are done siding pile sharp crush with sand around the bottom, rodents don't have much luck digging through it with rocks half their size. Any holes left over no matter how small, spray foam it, even the corner anchor holes if they open to other areas. An LED strip under the deck along the front wall to further deter rodents. You could still add external insulation, I used Resisto in white for the 3rd layer and in March will use silicon RV roof paint to protect from UV for 10 to 15yrs. You could get the foam strips that fit the ribs, reflectix then white silicon paint. Cool in summer and waterproof.

You'll love that siding! I have used it and it's so easy to paint and it looks good when it's done. Regarding the concrete piers, you could have someone stucco them also. But if you build a box around them, consider going to higher than the top of them especially if you are going to expand your deck to the corner. Then, you can cap the top and use it as a place to set things or put a light. If you are going to put a rail on the deck, you could consider going to that height and integrate it with the deck.

You mentioned that you went to Rural King for some Dog Food. I live in Mattoon, Illinois the home of Rural King. I shop there often for things I need around the house and clothes such as Flannels. Rural King just purchased our city mall. They took the closed Sears store for their retail business. The owners of Rural King fly in a helicopter to all of there business locations. We see them returning in the evening, low flying getting ready to land on the west side of town. It is a fine place to shop. They support many things here in Mattoon. Their retain store here in town is large and full of everything for home and county living. Keep up your posting, I don't miss any. Thanks JB

I used the same siding for a skirting on our Maine home. For some reason I went vertically instead of horizontally. That may be the reason, sloping ground? It looked great when I was finished. They do recommend painting any nail holes when done.
