I can not wait to see the new stove test. I purchased one and could not get two cups to boil with my altoids stove (that I like to carry in my canteen kit like Beast12101 does) and had to switch to the tragia to get a boil. Thanks for all you do!

If your camping with this setup you could dig a small hole and put the trangia in it so its lower than the canteen cup stove instead of elevating the canteen cup stove

3 minutes of alcohol is huge when you have to carry enough for 10 or 12 meais. That could mean one less 8 oz. bottle to carry for a weekend. Nice job Hiram.

I have a full kit coming which includes the GrillTop stove and the lid. I'm looking forward to testing and using them both. When the kit comes I'll start off with a video of showing the parts and putting the kit together. Watch for it. :-)

Or...assuming you’re out doors and cooking on the ground; you could lower the stove, thus avoiding carrying the “shims” to raise the stove.

Hit the post button to soon...I think the stainless top on the new stove is stealing too much of the heat from the fuel in an endothermic reaction, vs. all of the heat going to the bottom of the cup first. I would imagine after a long time of heating, or once the stove top becomes more exothermic the boil time would be greatly reduced, but who wants to pre-heat it for such a long time.

With my trangia I find 1 1/2 is my best distance to the bottom of my colman cook set
