Wonder if you can use a compound bow wrist release. It would make it much easier to draw far back and get alot more power.
@chriswright81143 жыл бұрын
you can. I think it comes with a d loop already. if not, you can just attach one super quick.

How much draw force can the head take before it snaps off? I like it, I just don't know if Id trust it with heavy band for arrows.

There's different brands of slingbow. Mine has 50 pound draw bands, and could easily kill an elk.

Does this have enough foot pounds to hunt with? Will it kill a deer at 20 yards? Is it at least 30 foot lbs with a 350 grain arrow?

a place, usually on your face, like the corner of the mouth (for recurve bows or just under the ear lobe for compound bows...)

Could someone tell me what are the FPS with 500 grain arrow and which bands are the strongest/fastest ones?
@alexcrowder16732 жыл бұрын
Making your own flat bands is basically always going to be your best bet. Therabond gold is great for most applications. This is especially true for shooting arrows. Most slingshots that shoot arrows have between a 27lb and 42lb draw weight at 30-32 inches. At 40lbs you can shoot a hunting arrow at about 175fps. You could make your own and get up to 250 or so fps though which is very comparable to a real recurve bow. Heavy taper on your bands gives more power but wont last as many shots.
@gblan8 жыл бұрын
If you think that's powerful you'd be floored if you pulled to full draw and anchored as if shooting a standard bow. WAY more power and accuracy.

Obviously but when backpacking/hiking or in a SHTF situation this is much more viable as it’s easier to pack much smaller and lighter and is more than suitable for small game

I own both and I can tell you that its actually the opposite way around.. Its extremely difficult to draw a slingbow.. I have one at 40 lb and its like trying to haul back a horse, I can easily use my 48lb bow like not even in the same league.. A bow has a massive tall lever advantage, a slingbow has all the power in a narrow or shallow string angle, not to mention that rubber wobbles and contorts all over the place.. You'd be very surprised if you thought you could make short work of a 40lb slingbow.. But.. I will say.. That in terms of efficiency and accuracy theres no question that a bow would be better.. Any bow I own would group arrows better at any range than any of the slingbows I have..

Yes, you use a standard length 31" arrow, same as any compund.

According to simpleshot, if you use the included single black tubes and set them at a 6 inch draw, it will produce about 38-40 pounds.
