Join us for a walk in Canterbury, Kent, UK. We explore Canterbury City Centre, starting in Westgate Gardens with views of Canterbury Westgate and finishing by the Marlowe Theatre.
Canterbury is a cathedral city and UNESCO World Heritage Site, situated in the heart of the City of Canterbury, a local government district of Kent, England. It lies on the River Stour. Canterbury is in east Kent, about 55 miles from London. The coastal towns of Herne Bay and Whitstable are 6 miles to the north, and Faversham is 8 miles to the northwest.
Canterbury is a popular tourist destination: consistently one of the most-visited cities in the United Kingdom. Canterbury's economy is heavily reliant upon tourism. Canterbury remains a small city in terms of geographical size and population, when compared with other British cities.
Canterbury's Westgate is the largest surviving city gate in England. The Westgate is a medieval gatehouse in Canterbury, Kent, England. This 60-foot high western gate of the city wall is the largest surviving city gate in England. Built of Kentish ragstone around 1379, it is the last survivor of Canterbury's seven medieval gates, still well-preserved and one of the city's most distinctive landmarks. The road still passes between its drum towers. This scheduled monument and Grade I listed building houses the West Gate Towers Museum as well as a series of historically themed escape rooms.

Anot er enjoyable video, this was a year ago so why were some people still having muzzles on their nose/mouth outside/inside places?? 🤷🏻‍♂ And made me laugh when that girl at 11:42 posed for the video lol Canterbury is one of my fav parts of Kent. So your a woman then as the bloke said at 14:53 hello madam then the other man and you said yes yes lol 🙂 And one of my fav theatres is: The Marlowe ☺ I was sooo gutted when during lockdown one of my fav attractions there closed: The Canterbur Tales as you know! Could you please do some other video walks in Kent in the towns and other parts of the boroughs/districts like in Dartford-Dartford Town, Joydens Wood( part Dartford/part Bexley), Greenhithe esp for Bluewater Shopping Centre etc Same for Bexley like BexeyVilliage, other part of Joydens Wood, Bexleyheath/Welling Towns + go to Danson Park-it won an award a few years ago for one of the best parks in Kent! Also how about Sevenoaks Town and other districts of Sevenoaks like: Swanley Town, Swanley Park esp the mini train ride, Westerham Town/Village, Another one of my fav parts of Sevenoaks is about 10 mins across the other wide of Swanley Park in the village + civil parish of Hextable many Saxon type stuff there-which you might know anyway.
