It’s still possible to start a pilgrimage on foot or bike from Canturbury to Rome. My nephew and I are planning it 2 years from now. Canturbury as a town is very charming. The docents in the cathedral itself are terrific. And for what it’s worth the cathedral has a school for restoring and maintenance of the stained glass in cathedrals that works throughout Europe.
