Cantiano Italy A 1 euro home community in Le Marche

When beginning our 1 euro home summer, we stopped in a town called Gubbio that is famous for being one of the most beautiful Medieval towns in Europe. I came here since I knew it was a beautiful city close by to a 1 euro home community in Le Marche called Cantiano. The morning was spent touring the community of Gubbio Italy looking for real estate agencies and overall just to enjoy the views. This video is about our experience in Cantiano while looking around for 1 euro homes both previously sold and for sale.

That's a good perspective. There are probably lots of ways to boost economies in addition to the 1 euro home initiative. Remote work could signal a change in direction in many ways.

@NaCreagachaDubha You're right. There are still many families in the town from what I saw. But more historical real estate not being utilized. Gives it a very old vibe. There were lots of relatively newer construction zones on the edge of town.

My ancestors came from Pesaro in Le Marche before settling in the Boston Massachusetts area. If it's anything like Cantiano, then I can see why they left. Nothing appealing about living in a building that looks like it will topple over from the next 4.0 earthquake. Driving down that narrow street was pretty cool like a scene out of a Jason Bourne movie. Think I would rather take my chances on a $1 Detroit house.
