I worked there as a temp and they were nice people even the lawyers. From what he’s saying I’m now understanding that it was the culture. Many of them were at their desks deep in work since 7 or 8 in the morning when I arrived at 9. So I knew they didn’t even know what hit them. I could’ve been there that day but I switched assignments a few weeks before and was in midtown. I will never forget.

The Cantor Fitzgerald loss of 2/3 of the employees on 9/11 was one of the stories that moved me to follow the progress through the years - Lutnick leads the way in this most uplifting story. He seems to have kept all of his promises, respected all of the commitments he made to the families 22 years ago.

I was 6 on 9/11/01, in 2nd grade in Rockland County, about 20-30 minutes away from NYC. My father, in his late 30s at the time, had several friends pass in the towers on that fateful day, one of which was 25 year old Rob "Little Rob" Tipaldi. Rob was an employee of Cantor Fitzgerald working on the 104th floor. My dad says you would have been hard pressed to find a better guy than Little Rob; soon to be engaged, very successful yet humble, and extremely generous and caring. Having grown up in New York and moved to NYC after graduating college, every year around this time I struggle with the fact that had this happened in a later time in my life, there's no telling how many of my friends I would have lost just in the snap of a finger. Plenty of my friends now work in finance in NYC, and they undoubtedly would have been working at the WTC at that time. There are literally people from New York who were going to 10 funerals a week in the weeks after the attacks; it is truly hard to fathom the full scale of the loss that stemmed from this event. RIP To my father's friends Little Rob, firefighter Michael Montesi, and every other innocent soul who lost their lives that day

Joe Biden is having the IRS SNOOP on your bank accounts, Venmo, PayPal and crypto deals as part of his $80billion crackdown on tax evaders The plan would most especially affect the self-employed, who self-report their income and deductions, and the wealthy The proposal would require banks to report to the IRS every deposit and withdrawal from an account in order to target audits

20 years later, and even though I was on the west coast when 911 happened, I still feel it in the pit of my stomach when I see the towers falling. It's a natural reaction, I think. Unless you're the Stable Genius, of course, whose first reaction was "Cool! Now my building is the tallest in Manhattan." 🤦

I love the journalists empathy. The CEO rubbed me the wrong way at first, but 3:50 was honestly a beautiful thing to say. Just my opinion. He knows what these legacy employees have gone through, and he knows that this is not an easy time of year for them so he cherishes the memories rather than making everybody feel more sad

My father was in the LA Cantor office on the morning conference call with his best friends when the plane hit. He spent the next 10 years rebuilding Cantor…for this guy Steve who would later cheat my 65 year old father out of his retirement package after 3 decades with the “cantor family”. Gross, if you ask me.

Congratulations Joe. Thank you for ending America's senseless Bombing of 14 Muslim countries in the name of Peace. Afghanistan, Egypt, Iran, Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon, Libya, Pakistan, Palestine, Syria, Somalia, Sudan, Tunisia and Yemen. The 20 year war cost $300M a day and 2,461 lives and 9/11 was 2,996 lives but both are only 2 days US Covid deaths. The drama is over now that flights out of Kabul allow Afghans and Americans to leave Afghanistan.
