Now this was a helpful video, exactly the tour and info I was looking for. Thanks for including wheelchair accessibility too.

This location is EXTREMELY worth it. I had such a great time for the three days/two nights I was there. I'd rate it 10/10. Two night boarding = $240. If anybody is considering Ahwahnee, definitely book in advance. I wanted to stay there for a night and the only room available was a suite and it was around $1,200 for ond night. While in Curry Village, I sat on a porch and drank a couple beers and got to see a coyote. The shops are great, the selection and staff are wonderful and fascinating characters to converse with.

Great review Rob! We just reserved a non-heated tent for this summer and they charged $198.55 per night which seems expensive, but we still think it's worth it because of the location. We have limited time, so we are staying only 2 nights, but this will work fine and will save so much time driving in and out of the park. Thanks!

Literally the price for the location. I used to stay outside (oakhurst) and wasted 2hr just driving back and forth from the airbnb to the park so this time I decided to book the tent. Will stay there in the next 2 weeks. Thanks for the review!

Basically you pay for the " location" .And if you stay outside the valley especially in the summer season you waste 3 hours a day inside the car going back and forth each day if you are not early bird. :-) And everything cost approx. double than Curry village. If considered all thinks I think price is OK.
@jeffeyro Жыл бұрын
The price use to be way cheaper very recently. It was $60 for non heated the last time I went in 2010, and I believe the pricing was about $90 circa 2019-2020. I know the pandemic and inflation has made prices crazy, but I think the new prices are a little high. I think closer to $100-$120 for the non heated tents would be more fair.

@@jeffeyro I stayed here for two nights in June 2022 and it was $240. *My tent didn't have heat so you're spot on.

Any info on parking your car when staying in these tents? I will be going this summer with our 24' Airstream Interstate van and may need to staff to help locate a longer spot.

I managed to park in the Curry Village lot. They have signs clearly on the way to Curry Village, there is some consutrciton there at the moment but I managed to park no problem.

It was pretty cold to be honest, but I brought extra blankets and a hot water bottle with me! I would say if you can layer up, you could make it work to save some money. But yes, it is pretty cold! Hope this helps! Have a great trip :)

@@hotintheheights In March you could run into some weather - rain/snow. You should be able to see the Upper and lower Yosemite falls though and they will be running with lots of water. The valley loop trail will also be accessible, but you may need traction for your hiking boots. The Mist Trail will be open but with some seasonal closures and Hetch Hetchy should be fully accessible. I would say it's a nice time to go as it will be quiet. Hope this helps!

I never saw any rats, but you're in the wilderness so I guess there's wildlife that will take up any food that's not stored correctly! :)
