These are 1300 dollars on their sight right now because of shortage of shimano cranksets. They using "equal quality" Selle italia and fsa dropping the price a lot

is there an option to upgrade to cableless through different stem and bars etc thanks great review !
@cyclingunboxed3 ай бұрын
Unfortunately nothing through the head tube. The cables have to come out and back in because is a normal design for the fork stem. I am sure if you wanted to invest in a different fork, it would be possible but not as stock.

thanks for the great video. You do confirm that a size M fits you well ? I am just over 6 foot, and I am surprised that you got a size M. Cheers
@cyclingunboxed Жыл бұрын
Yea, surprisingly well. Did a whole day on it and was totally fine. Just a high saddle. I would say for myself I would buy a large but the M fits me of it needs to.

I’m 6,1 and looking for a L frame. Going to check the medium

@@cyclingunboxedthank you for sharing.

I actually ordered a L frame, as canyon was telling me I was between M and L

I've been looking for a bike that can essentially do it all. I think I've found it, I reckon I'll go for this and save up a little more to get a set of road wheels for it, just for those group days when I need to keep up with the roadies 😅
@cyclingunboxed4 ай бұрын
Should be perfect for that. Won’t be the lightest but will be more than sufficient

Why did you not put the pedals on? Im having trouble with them & wanted to see just that part..
@cyclingunboxedАй бұрын
Pedals are universal for every bike. Firstly you need to make sure that the correct pedal is going on the correct side. Easy with cleats but flat pedals are less obvious. They will be Lablled somewhere though. The second thing is that the left side is threaded the other way. There are tonnes of videos on KZbin that show it nicely

A buddy got a bike like that, maybe that model, it seems that thru axle screws directly to the frame, long story short, he screwed up and had to send the frame back to canyon, weeks without a bike, be aware of that

I wanted to buy it but it's out of stock on the site, will it be for long? if so where can I find it?
@cyclingunboxed3 ай бұрын
It’s hard to know sometimes with canyon. Unfortunately they sell out fast so you just need to buy when it becomes available if you can. They are very popular

If the breaks are touching and I'm a bit of a newbie - is it better to take it to a shop to tweak?
@cyclingunboxed8 ай бұрын
It’s actually a very easy job to do yourself once you know how. I would Google our KZbin how to align a bike brake Caliper and lots of good videos show up. If you have tried and still don’t feel confident a bike shop should be able to do it in a couple of minutes for you.
@danshepherd91988 ай бұрын
Great thanks. I'll have a look. I also read on the Canyon website that it's quite normal on new bikes and often settles in the first 300km. What do you think?@@cyclingunboxed
@cyclingunboxed8 ай бұрын
I can’t say for that one as I have always re adjusted them to be silent when our the box. I would be intrigued to know if that works though.

Bro I'm 6'5" and they told me to get an XL... Your good on a medium?
@cyclingunboxed Жыл бұрын
I’m good on a medium, not perfect. A large would fit me better. I’m different though as I have very long legs and a short body so the shorter top tube suits me. You are taller than me as well so I can see how and XL would fit you better: kzbin.info/www/bejne/rJPWdJtolrqrgrM

What about 183cm high man should chose? Size guide showing M, but sounds strange because usually L or on some even XL....answer please, does M will look and feels nornally?

Are the wheels tubeless?
@cyclingunboxed Жыл бұрын
I do believe these can be set up tubless as they are the dt Swiss gravel Ln. Rim tape should already be in there.
@nikolabecanovic3700 Жыл бұрын
@@cyclingunboxed So they are tubeless ready, but they have an inside tube :)
@cyclingunboxed Жыл бұрын
Yes, all canyons you buy will come like this. It should come ready to go, just need the valve. It’s always worth double checking they say tubless ready on there before you do it though.

I’m 6’2-6’3 and I ordered a L. I had a heart attack when you said you’re 6’4 with a medium 😭
@cyclingunboxed3 ай бұрын
That’s not my bike. I was just saying if need be or if I was sharing the bike, the medium would be just fine. I would personally order a larger myself
@ZwiftDude Жыл бұрын
Damn for 6'4 guy a Medium? I guess it's a fashion to have a tall rider on smaller bike? LOL Though some say a smaller frame is easier to navigate over a bigger bike. Would've thought a XL or 2XL frame for a tall guy like you.
@stean7400 Жыл бұрын
medium is definitely too small for him
@cyclingunboxed Жыл бұрын
This one isn’t my bike and I could probably go up to a large but honestly the canyons are generally seem a size lager when you sit on them. Also I have long legs short body and the m seatpost goes high enough for me.
@konradjanczak1504 Жыл бұрын
@@cyclingunboxed I'm also 6'4 and thinking about grizl or grail. Would you aim in XL or XXl frame for our height?
@cyclingunboxed Жыл бұрын
Easiest way to check I think is to measure your current bike and then see which size bike geometry on the website that fits into.
@Koen030NL Жыл бұрын
@@konradjanczak1504 Fill in you measurements in the canyon website, they will give you the correct size bike. Im 188 cm in height and they recommended me an L and it serves me well.
@eduardserra6218 ай бұрын
It could have been a great bike, but it’s geometry is too agressive for most people 😢
@cyclingunboxed8 ай бұрын
The top tube is shorter than most road bikes. Do you find its still too long for you?
