I like the bike like I did with the old model. But why this ugly and bulky computer mount? It doesn´t fit at all to the design language of the bike. The old "spoon" still looks better in my opinion.

Very disappointed to see that Canyon has decided to dismiss all models equipped with rim brakes. Previous CF SL 7 and 8 were the best climbing bike for weight/price ratio. Also the new model with the same equipment costs +500 euro (something similar has happened to the aeroad) and the weight Is the same. Price increase of this range Is not justifiable by inflation. Now to get a ultimate around 7kgs you must spend a fortune... Could make sense for CFR models, but not for entry level canyon ultimate, that are not affordable anymore. Very bad move.

Does anybody understand so huge component downgrade and price upgrade between Ultimate CF SL 7/8 (new) vs. SL 7/8 (old) verzions?

Sooo hyped for the insecure 140mm brakes on this up to 10k bike. Even SRAM say it is not safe for anyone >82kg, and this weight is not out of range for XL or 2XL riders!

Have you guys heard about the current inflation, especially in Europe? Energy, Wages, Supply Material - everything is becoming ridiculously expensive. Whoever thinks that Canyon is increasing its prices to increase profits has no clue about economics. And btw: try to find a cheaper bike on the market that is comparable to these products. Bought a ultimate cf ultegra di2 with DT Swiss pr 1400 for 3300 euros. Today ultimate 105di2 with PR 1800 is 3900.... Wtf happened in 5 years?

We saw that you can make bikes in really nice colour (MVDP edition, team issue Ultimate in blue), so did you intentionally paint the cheaper SL version in such an ugly paint combination to give stronger arguments for SLX and CFR models?

There's always alternatives, stop paying those stupid prices 🤷🏻‍♂️, there's options, but don't get in to the trap! It's not the time to buy a bike, brands have literally ditch the entry level road bike segment, nothing below 1000€, just look outside known brands and you will find better options.
