Hi! So I just sat the leaving cert 2021 & at currently doing a PLC/ Level 5/6 QQI so when ticking the boxes for Qualifications/Assessments , do I just tick those 2 boxes or do I include the Level 3 for actually college because it what I’m trying to get into?

why does when I put the course code it doesn't let the last digit number and when I click change its invalid

I need to enter a verification code (on the page where you need to select your courses) but I haven't gotten a mail during the 3 days that have gone by since my registration. I've checked everywhere and also the "view communication history" doesn't show any verification code..should I just try selecting the courses without verifying or what am I supposed to do?

Hey! So I applied for the curses but they never asked me for any documents and stuff, I mean how will they know if I am eligible for a certain course or not? If there is no data telling them my score or subjects. It really confuses me. Thank you for the video though!

Once you receive your LC results in August that information is sent to the CAO and you will be made offers based on tour results then.

Hi, Thank you for the demonstration. However, I wanted to apply the Advanced entry (there’s another tab beside 1st year), but the course I wanted has been restricted. I don’t know what that means. And also I’m not from UK or EU, was that the reason? And how to upload my other certificates? Thanks again.

restricted course means there is an extra assessment needed for entry like an interview, portfolio etc. All restricted courses have to be on your CAO by 1st Feb.

Hey :), I am an international student wherefore I chose the option "Other school leaving exams" . Below this is the section "brief description" and I can enter up to 200 characters. Do you maybe know what I am supposed to write there? E.g. which courses I take but that doesn't make any sense!! Thank you!!

Id say name of exam/qualification type and subjects studied should suffice!But I would contact the CAO directly to clarify!

I don't know if I need to describe my school-leaving exam or if it's a description of myself that is needed. Did you have an answer from CAO, if you asked them? @@annaw67 Hi, i was with the the same issue too. The cao handbook has a paragraph in which explains what should be written. The only important thing that they say is to provide European qualification frameworks details but if you're an international student i suppose you'll be required to write the equivalent. The space is really insufficient so i could hardly explain my school-leaving exam so the qualification framwork should be enough. If you need any help with your cao application or anything else just let me know as im through the same :)

@@malaakuniversity1631 Hi, in the secondary level schools attended i just wrote "my school's name" secondary school, i attended two so i put both. Framework is sth structured to refer other things, the european qualification framework is a list of levels(in which qualifications are classified), every european country has its own national framework for qualification. So if you are european you can compare your NQF (ur national qualification framework) with the european or with the NQF of other eu country. If u are international i have no idea how that works. If you need it, i can send you a link to compare your nqf with the irish but it's just for eu countries. i just include the equivalence and the subjects i thought were important (depending the course you want to apply for, but im not sure the subjects are totally required)bc space is really limited

Level 8 are full 4 year honours degree courses. Level 7 are 3 year bachelor degrees Most people would be selecting lvl 8.

Level 8 are honours degrees level 7 are ordinary degree with option of graduating with a full bachelor degree for an extra year. Level 6 is a high certificate course

Hi I’m apply for an Arts Degree, But it’s the same code for a lot of Subjects for History, French, Geography etc, It’s the same for two courses Law and History But Ik not sure what to do, how will they know which one it is??

No references or statements needed for the CAO. Documents are only relevant for exemptions, Access programs etc. Once you have paid and input your course choices, that's it! Your on the system!

@@giulia1350 Im assuming you're applying to a health-based program or something that involves working with children and adults in that case? It's basically a criminal record check that they send you an invitation link to where u fill forms, etc. just to make sure you're not a criminal ahaha

No. Personal statements are only needed for applying to courses in the UK/elsewhere but not Ireland!
