I realized while I was watching this, yet another beautiful walk through another stunning Italian town, that there is something about the narrow streets that concentrates the elegance of these towns. No grand, wide vistas needed here like a mountainside where you can see what's coming from a mile away. The view here is focused on a path only a few feet wide, and we are pulled forward by the promise of another building, stairway or archway. There is a giddy joy in not knowing exactly what is around the next corner; will you turn left or right? Most people will never be able to afford to go here, but all they have to do is watch a gentle video like this and feel just a little bit that they've been to Italy. And maybe, somehow, they were always there.

Dear Ken, every time I'm always surprised by the description you write about some towns.. you seem to "grasp" the core of them in ways many maybe can't , or can't put them into words. As you know, I particularly like these kind of narrow-alleys town more than the bigger cities or bigger towns.. the narrower they are, the more fascinating they can be. And Capalbio was quite a surprise... it was the first time for me too actually... always glad to know these videos of these less known places can be enjoyed. They probably won't reach many views as they're not Verona, nor Venice... but at least some people can appreciate even them

Tuscany with it's endless beautiful towns. I Like the narrow medieval alleys of Capalbio decorated with beautiful flowers. Walking around the walls was very interesting with restaurants all set for the evening with panoramic view. I enjoyed tour. Thanks.

MAGNIFICENT panorama!. Wooded and well cultivated, under a completely clear sky. Captivating. Full medieval. A little gem in his walled chest. Beautiful old gate with its historic wood almost destroyed. Slender watchtower of the Aldobrandini castle. Great landscape from the battlements of its high walls; meanwhile, the breeze gently leafs trough the books. Italian conversations, scolding and laughter. ( I wouldn't want to meet an angry italian ). Good video until your last Ciao. Thank you very much. How is your office ?.

Ciao Juan, always nice to see you back. Indeed, Capalbio was captivating. I found it very very "cosy" - very un-touristic perhaps, weirdly enough. Liked it, even though it was a little "empty" from the apartments as far as I could see. Nice town! Ahhh... back to work already... summer is definitely finished and back to office indeed

I'm not from there Sandy :( But looking on Google Maps, I could see that from "Capalbio Scalo", there's a special buss (number 400 or 120) that goes straight to the old town - company "Autolinee Toscan". It seems they pass very often

Agreed Amanda - some of the homes were quite something... quite well kept, tidy, clean, alive and lively. Liked Capalbio very very much.
