@@joncarter3761 The reason RE6 failed wasn't because they had four campaigns, but that the game was a hodgepodge that Capcom slapped together trying to appeal to everyone. If they made four campaigns surrounding the "Spencer Mansion Incident" but from the perspective of four different characters that played exactly the same, but with a few tweaks (like with Chris being Tankier but having less inventory space) it could work.

CVX is an under appreciated game, it's unforgiving in all the right ways while having some truly memorable areas. A remake reworking the island and antarctic base, so much potential (although, I can say exactly the same for zero, both are either loved or hated but it's pretty undeniable that both have great settings and environments, are due a modernized RE:Engine version). Outbreak is also a no brainer, it definitely needs mechanics improvements but that surely isn't an issue for the devs, but I agree with Bawk %100, when Outbreak was originally released multiplayer online games via console weren't all that common, but now with cross platform play (and the sheer size of the STILL dedicated fans to the original that play online today) the fan base is there - Capcom wouldn't even need to remake Outbreak, a new title in the series (maybe remake the older titles on top of this, or have those missions as optional extras) would sell like hotcakes and enjoy a dedicated fan base for years (add in DLC and even more $ for Capcom, I think the fanbase would support that if it meant good ongoing server support).

How about we get outbreak part 3 With different setting, lets say terragria (the city that died in revelation) The island in revelation 2 The combat zone in RE6 Or other setting that's not raccoon city, but you can play as different survivor, while alyssa somewhat recurrent in the scenario After you finish all campaign on very hard, some survivor specific to scenario & map can be played on every scenario

I would love to see an official port of RE1-3 for Windows. An easy way to play the old games in 4K60 on your modern computer. Preferably with some minor updates like door/cutscene skips and other small quality-of-life updates.

There's already a Fix for those ports called Classic REbirth. It makes them Playable on Modern Windows, and makes some Quality of Life improvements. It's not official, but just google it it's not that hard to setup

3:28 I think it's more accurate to say they were forced into taking risks with Village because they committed to it before seeing the huge success of over-the-shoulder Remake 2. 5:50 I actually argue that even a lot of pre-RE7 fans don't know Wesker's story in CVX. They see Wesker in RE1 then in RE5. So all they saw was "Matrix Wesker" and think he's this evil stoic badass. They didn't see CVX Wesker who, even with his superpowers, was getting his ass kicked by other BOW like Alexia. Wesker was definitely the big bad of the series, but there were other villains like Alexia who wiped the floor with Wesker and sent him running.

Love this video, because it sums up so many great things you’ve said throughout the years during streams - and ALL of it is on point!! Yes to outbreak remaster, yes to small classic-style scenarios, yes to expanding the canon!! As usual: peak content!! My question - or additional suggestion - would be to do/have a game like RE1 or RE3 that allows for the player to rescue ALL characters that would originally die, so essentially an alternate universe kinda thing (coughKendoCutcough) where the player can use the scenario to almost infinite combinations of which characters they would save and what these characters can add to the gameplay - additionally, this could also introduce extra issues. Like, let’s say this modus is done for RE1, and you save Forrest - this could lead to the crowd being more aggressive and turn up throughout the mansion, break windows etc, however as an additional plus, Forrest has the sniper rifle that we never got, allowing for players to switch to play as him whenever they come to a save room and utilize his strategic advantages in taking out crows and dogs that lurk in the nearby forest (pun intended). This could be applied to any and each game, also future games. Even when the original maps are reused a la remaster, it still would lead to a new player base, potentially ALSO opening up to multiplayer options even (every time a character is rescued a player is selected online from a lobby to come in and play a la Darksouls maybe). I hope this rant already shows just how awesome this feature would be. Ever since I played RE1 before Nemesis came out, I’ve fantasized about how awesome RE would be if you could impact the story like this and play as those alternate characters. Here’s the chance!!

I started playing Code Veronica again recently and I think the remake could really tug at the heart strings with a well written Steve and the brother/sister dynamic with Claire and Chris and even the evil side of that with alexia and Alfred. It was my favorite classic as a kid in the 90s going into 2000 with the Dreamcast but I think it’s a crucial story to tell/retell the OG and new fans! You da man BAWK!

They should make these games with a fixed camera angle option. there's just something so magical and eery about those cool camera angles that give the feeling you're being watched. adds to the ambiance, the terror (when you can't see whats in front of you) and I just always loved that style. I get it makes the controls less fluid but at least give us the option for us old school fans.

I would love a semi-open world RE game that takes place in racoon city during the outbreak in RE engine either 3rd or first person, or both and maybe it starts like right in the middle of downtown, and your whole goal is just to escape the city, it could have one of the other mr.x's that was dropped in the city and you have to run back and forth to different locations through alleys and apartment buildings while looting (basically a bunch of the stuff i wanted in RE3R)

Dude I’ve been saying for YEARS that remaking and combining BOTH outbreak games now would be KING. Way better foundation than whatever that weird multiplayer R3MAKE was limping to the barn with. I mean, wasn’t the biggest complaint against Outbreak the lack of communication features with your fellow survivors? They could also add in a versus mode such as L4D2, but only if they balance it well while still being fun. I was so passionate about this idea, I legit SCOURED the web for the different ways to contact Capcom and sent emails, basic outlines, etc. I even ended the emails with “I don’t want profits, I don’t want credits, I just want to be able to play something cool with people I love in a series that I grew up side-by-side with. I truly believe if you made this happen and did very well with Q&A and handling tester feedback, this would be a success that y’all could build upon. All you would have to do is add more maps and scenarios, and you already have ten good ones to start with and fine-tune!” Never even got one of those “THANKS FOR FEEDBACK!” Robo-emails. But I do hope at least one person on the Capcom squads at least agrees with the sentiment.

You covered a lot of the games that I was talking about with some of my friends literally just a few weeks ago. I also agree with a lot of your points. Though the thing I love most that you brought up in the video was releasing more classic titles and giving us more survival horror fix camera angle games. Like a year or so back I finally got the chance to play Tormented Souls and to me it was really refreshing. Because fixed camera angle games really build up the suspense on what's going to happen next. I mean all of those really are a must it would just be so lively to have.

I've been saying that for years, that it's insane, that we all want but don't get a classic trilogy. But Capcom has to go the extra mile and must present us the whole experience, the "definitive" collection. They have to include all extras from every port. Upscale the backrounds like in the seamless HD Mod and give us the opportunity to switch to the old styles. And it must be fully uncut. Not just the cutscenes in RE1 but also things like Kenneths head or removable limbs like in the PC-version. RE3 was extremly cut here in germany. I wanna play it finally in german and uncut. I know, I know that this would never be happen. But I like to dream.

Resident Evil Outbreak REMAKE should be an open world game with fully explorable Raccoon City and it has to have correct colors, desperate atmosphere, bigger scale, a true depiction of a haunted city in its ruins, desperation of situation for survivors, beautiful art design and on top of that to have a realistic true survival horror experience (meaning: scavenging the city for items and resources, counting your bullets)

All I’ve wanted since I was a kid was competent modern adaptation of Outbreak. I dont want whatever online abomination released with RE3 remake. It was was the perfect blend of classic RE with modern gameplay. It was way ahead of its time. Truly the OG Outlast Trials experience back in the day. I play via emulation now and enjoy every bit of it.

Imo code Veronica is the perfect resident evil game for fans of the 1st initial original games. Its the only one from fixed camera angles the haven't remade and I think it's because of how long the game is. Yes ppl complain about it but for me for hardcore fan of the originals. Code Veronica is the purest re game and is full of puzzles that make you think but had you played the the other games that came before it they prepare you for it. Its everything that they had learned from 1,2 and 3. It's not a spin off game like some suggest either it's a proper instalment to the franchise and pure re fans appreciate this game so much. Even tho I admit in can be irritating for casuals.

A thing I wish for the most with RE9 is that the vibe kinda goes back to RE7, with a new Main character we dont know, like a detective doing some investigations and stuff, in a sketchy neighbourhood/house because of missing people or whatever, and focusing more on horror. Would be kinda cool to have a switch between more horror and more action with every other entry, so RE7 more horror, RE8 more action and RE9 more horror again and so on. Not that its realistic or anything, just something I'd wish for.

CVS is one of my favorite classic RE games. I love Outbreak, too, but my favorite thing about it was the combination of memorable semi- random dialogue, and File 2's hilariously stupid A.I. for the npc protagonists. I don't expect them to include those aspects in a remake. I never played the multiplayer, but I absolutely loved the bad A.I. of single player. It made it both extremely entertaining, and very challenging. They improved it slightly for file 2, which actually disappinted me. It wasn't nearly as funny that way.

Yeah I keep making comments on these types of videos hoping someone from Capcom will steal them. But RE online is such a huge money maker. As you said. They could just at minimum remaster then. Do the usual Capcom dlc. It would the the first one I would actually spend money on. Change the difficulty. If they had time. Change the mechanics. You could have a safe zone if apartment. Have daily’s where you could do whatever missions to get herbs and ammo. They you could find parties to do “dungeons”. FF style. Where helping each other to beat the boss. Even could have off games of pvp. Like the last of us. To fight for resources. Future games coud add on more dlc. You can make your own garden for herbs or food. Make a loosely based class system where you can focus on tank , heal or anything in-between. I mean it could go on forever. Make it truly survival horror. People would die for getting through a city if 1000 zombies or even horde mode. Where the monthly most kills or points could get limited gear or whatever. Capcom what are you doing. Instead they are trying to reinvent the wheel with these horrible multiplayer games that are making people dread their next multiplayer. They really need to fix this before it’s beyond fixing.

I am heavily biased towards Outbreak. It was my first RE game, I have so many memories of that game and would love for CAPCOM to revisit it.

On Re5make: If I recall to this day it's the top selling Resident Evil game it's probably the most influential game to me personally, it helped me get over my childhood fear of zombies and turned me into a lifelong survival horror game fan. Sure it has some rough spots and *elements* that will need to be changed but the potential is absolutely still there and bits of it can absolutely be felt in RE4Remake (Luis throwing you ammo can easily be a more streamlined version of passing off ammo and improved single player AI, the expanded lake takes lots of elements from the airboat from RE5 probably justifying cutting the roughest part of that game in exchange for something else.) Josh Stone is a fantastic character and I'd love to see his role expand as well. I love Re5 and the day it comes out I'll be first in line!

Code Veronica remake would make me as excited as the MGS3 Snake Eater remake did. I love that game. Shout out to Bawk saying that it has the best soundtrack, 100% CVX has best music.

@8:59 the only reason the Average player base for Operation Raccoon City is bad, is because the game only runs if you have very select programming and equipment. It is fully playable on Xbox now, and I’ve seen quite the come back for it. Especially since it houses a lot of game modes that are being copied now adays, such as RE: Verse is literally hero’s from ORC (operation raccoon city)

Also, here's a neat feature there is a bug where the service does not recognize you have bought the game, and it can't find your profile so twenty something down the drain all because of games windows live

I was going to say "What a coincidence you just came out with this video", since I legit just ordered Japanese RE:O file 1 & 2 on amazon for 30usd each, like that I don't have to worry about IP concerns because I'll have the game to myself instead of [redacted]. But yeah noticed this vid was from over a month ago. There might be hope because I've heard they act on alleged IP violations for RE:O file 1 & 2. But yeah, just a port with some slight polishing would be amazing, slap a "REMASTER HD" and make multiplayer through steam or whatnot and I'd definitely get it.

God… absolutely outbreak. I was one of those offline players and despite the terrible AI, I still loved it so much. I will give all my money just for a simple port to steam at this point, let alone a remaster.

I've fantasized about an outbreak remake just a little bit, and I imagined it being overall faithful and recognizable by keeping not only the original locations, characters and whatnot, but also gameplay mechanics (even if revamped). The one example of improving on an outbreak mechanic in a potential remake would be being able to shoot (even if slowly, and less accurately) while shouldering a survivor (basically like that Jill and Parker section in REV1). And if we wanted to go beyond that, we could also allow the wounded survivor to shoot so that they can do something while they're not in control. After all, it's a given that they would go for an over-the-shoulder perspective, and it would obviously be limited to pistols or smaller guns in general. I feel like that concept in particular goes with the whole concept of struggling to get by and surviving by any means necessary (you could just shoot enemies to keep them stunned, not necessarily to kill them), and it would also encourage saving fallen survivors further Just my two cents

I agree that re5 doesn't really need a Remake, but I did have a lot of fun with the more horror aspect of re4r. I think they could breathe some potential back into some of the more action games if the really went for it.

I hope they do Code Veronica Remake and RE 0 Remake/Remaster. The one thing that keeps me away from playing RE 0 is the no item box system and they can fix that with a remake/remaster.
