Capcom VS SNK 2: (Shin Akuma & God Rugal Intros and Endings) - Pixel Effect

I know this game is old but I finally unlocked them on my ps3. It felt good getting them in the ps2 version as originally I did it on the gamecube with EO. Still I do miss that EO goodness haha. God Rugal is always my favorite as his music is more intense. I did not put both news showings as they are the same thing and just let rugals run.

Exactly Akuma did not take a single move from rugal while ultimate regal took the Shun goku stastu and ashura / dashing forward or backwards like Akuma and Evil Ryu.

So the story behind akuma’s ending is the orochi carried akuma off but akuma still seemed to be resisting it’s control. The story behind Rugal’s ending is Rugal lost control of akuma’s extraordinary power and like what happens when this happens to akuma, a true demon is born. Rugal became the satsui no hado itself, an oni.

I don't think Akuma ever loses control of his power for shin he holds back until he meets a worthy opponent. that's why during his shin intro you see the energy leaving him and coming back to signify he's in control of it. i think for oni is same.

the shin akum in this game isnt like his other versions tho. its meant to be satsui and orochi powers combined. which is why his raging demon goes to like 30 hits in this game... also has a brand new symbol on his back to signify this new fusion of powers. lol it was quite epic to behold back in the day. sadly nothing like this will ever happen again...... i hope capcom vs SNK 3 happens someday tho.

You know what I just realized. Capcom really went above and beyond on how Akuma was handled here. Out of all crossovers he's been featured in, he was presented as undefeatable. X-Men vs Street Fighter: They had to make a robot version of him. Marvel vs Capcom 3: He bodied the entire roster in his ending. Street Fighter x Tekken: Doesn't really count, since you had to pick one of the other for their "victory." Even Tekken 7: His matches with the Mishima's had to be interrupted for the sake of plot. Capcom vs SNK 2 at the time did something unique. They looked at both Akuma AND Rugal and went "Hey, what if we not only SHOW the audience that they've fought, but one of them *DIES.* " Giving me the impression that to this day, Rugal was the ONLY CHARACTER/BOSS that was worthy enough to not only BEAT Akuma, but *KILL* him. At least until you know.... The Satsui No Hado wasn't having it with him, and took over.

Rugal has one of the most bs abilities in the world, the ability to copy moves just by looking at it once, so it makes sense he can defeat Akuma. Imo the only SNK characters in CvS that canonically capable defeating Akuma are probably Goenitz and Takuma (as Mr.Karate)

maybe rugal could have fought akuma at base but only with his orochi stolen power. even then akuma wasnt in shin form when he was beaten by rugal here... as seen when rugal throws him away. which i find funny. guess akuma didnt find him worthy?! or just underestimated the orochi power. didnt use his full power fighting rugal. either way its neat capcom let akuma get unalived by some other franchise big bad. rugal is worthy. i liked how they handle this in CVSNK 2. sadly there was never a capcom vs snk 3 tho. love to see orochi and gill.

2:22 I wonder is this the first introduction of Oni or Kage taking hold of Rugal, even though Kage is more in tuned with Ryu than Akuma and Kage has stated he is the "Satsui no Hado" incarnate, only thing is the last person he could attempt to control is Ryu, which is why he looks like Ryu. Akuma did not let himself get controlled by Satsui no Hado, he accepted it full out and searching for opponents with the killing intent...

Rugal when he is defeated reminds me of when my body couldn't handle all the muscle I accumulated while working out. I had very good developed muscle and could pick myself up with both feet on the floor without jumping. However, I did not manually breath when I was working out doing 100 push ups daily. Terrible breathing. Then came the "fuck it's so hard to sit down and breath. I feel like my heart is going to explode. I feel like my lungs are sweating or releasing water into my heart or something...." After resting for so long like 2+ years I feel normal once again. Moral of the story, the first ever workout you should ever attempt before any other workout is breathing in and out all the time until you do it without saying "it's so annoying" or "I'm tired of this." Once that's complete "the evolution" will become a reality..... Nnnnnot stroooong enough....

Rugal is strong on his own, but with Orochi's power, he was still human so it killed him when he tapped into it too much, Akuma definetly exploited that because he did a DIO and threw his Humanity away, which is probably why in both endings Akuma is techniqually the big winner in terms of gaining power, either he takes over Rugal or Orochi and Goenitz revived him and made him a member of the Hakkeshu

Man this game was something special. Bought it for my PS2 right off the shelf, back then you automaticay knew if it was from Capcom it was worth your money. But the joke was on them, these games were actually pricless treasures, and to think we used to pick these up often for well under $50.00. We'll never get that amazing time back.

No Rugal didn't change into Akuma/Gouki but rather the power of the Dark Hadou that physical changed Gouki has now changed Rugal physical appearance as well but unlike Akuma who earned the Dark Hadou... Rugal did not so the Dark Hadou changed him

Yo I can’t be crazy, Every video I look up don’t have his game play, I clearly remember my brother’s friend unlocking him by beating that boss rush mode, he said he used Akuma and he defeated everyone by Raging Demon on everyone meaning he had to win with a super no matter what to unlocking him, Bro if my PS2 still work I can show but I need a power cable for it, I really don’t know why no one has shown him, People say he’s a mugen character but dude I clearly remember playing as him, he took up the middle spot where the character randomizer and his character icon was basically the secret ending scene portrait, if I remember his moves set it was half of Rugal and akuma, he had Akumas hadoken, air hadoken and shoryuken but no Tatsumaki, & for Rugals was that upward slash kick, that move where he slams you to the wall and that soul absorbing move, also that phasing ability they both do, I don’t remember his ultimate moves tho I don’t think my brother knew them, my brother’s friend was the one who did all the work I just remember coming back home from school and this guy was defeating everyone on that boss rush and he always ended everyone with Raging Demon and then when he was done he just said “alright you got everyone” and then boom that character is right there in middle of everyone in the roster. Idk how else I can explain

If you mean God Rugal its based on your score and what drive you use. I think it has to be a SNK one, you can not lose a match though I think losing a round is ok once and you have to have a super KO finish at least once (the one where KO is in large text and flames in the background of the text)
