Cape Cod Canal Fishing: Topwater ODM Popper vs ANGRY Striped Bass (S1 Ep.8)

In this video Dom and Mike encounter some CRAZY striped bass blitzes while fishing down at the Cape Cod Canal. Monster fish were jumping out of the water eating mackerel and other bait fish. We see this as a great opportunity to switch to topwater lures using the ODM hybrix Popper to attract an insane 40+ inch Striper. The aggressive fish attacks the lure and immediately takes drag and takes mike for one heck of a ride! Strap in and watch us land some serious bass, both on topwater and jigging savage eels and al gag lures while seeing a beautiful sunrise over the cape cod canal. Learn some tips and tricks for catching and landing your next trophy fish from shore. In this video we used the ODM Jigster fishing rod, paired with the Penn Spinfisher Long Cast Edition and the Penn Slammer lll high speed fishing reel. All fish caught in this video were released safely to grow even bigger for next time!

@@catchingzzzsoutdoors1872 thanks....from what I have read the 6500 is minimum for the Canal..8000 size seems to be maybe better?What ounce is the ODM RATED?I may be there this year some time and trying to put together a budget friendly set up..Yours is a a good starting point .

If it is within the ratings you should be alright, try one and feel it out before you give it your all in a cast... if not go lighter, either way you should be able to produce
