My dog has learned how to make trades for things. If you have something she wants, she will come over and sit by you and eyeball it, waiting to hear if she can have some. If you tell her that she can't, she will get up go looking around, and either bring you one of her toys or somebody's shoe and offer it to you. If you don't accept her offer, she will pick it up again and place it in your lap so that you know that she is intending to make a trade.

@@BuddyMercury She's very quick to pick up on new commands. Her name is Lyndie (a combo of her mother's and father's names) and she is Pitbull/Boxer/Husky mix. She is very energetic and dramatic, and is full of love. She just wants to greet and kiss everyone she meets. She even knows the word "trade." She struggled with the "go lay down" command. She instead would just lie down right next to you, but that doesn't quite work so well when you're carrying in groceries and you're trying to get her out of the way. So I saw a video of a guy on YT that had a pillow bed on the floor and he called it that dog's spot. "Go to your spot," he would tell the dog and it would listen. She learned that in a few hours of training. All I had to do was teach her what spot meant, and as soon as she got it, she knows that means to go to her pillow bed and lie down. Being part Husky, she definitely has that defiant streak, so sometimes when you tell her to do it, she mutters out a few short howls and slowly trudges over to the spot. It is so funny! Buddy seems like a great doggo. I saw the video of him playing piano and howling and the little girl dancing and it just awe struck me and made me smile at the same time. Do you mind telling me how he came about to play the piano and sing?
