My friend had a Senegal. The bird was pretty friendly but totally her bird. The bird was quite comical but cage aggressive. The bird said a few phrases but was pretty quiet. Interestingly this girl also had a cockatiel and a budgie. The three birds tolerated each other but I never saw them preen each other. And, of course, my friend never left the birds alone.😊

Yeah, in some ways, I think Senis are AWESOME, but in some ways they are challenging because they can be difficult 1 person birds. And, you can have 2, but they can't necessarily be in a cage together and they don't necessarily keep each other company. Interesting and different-

I can't remember what video that I have seen but animals tend to get territorial and attached to their stuff. So you might would like to change the stuff in their cages and switch them out time to time. That will hopefully decrease the aggressive behaviors.

How do you get them to not be aggressive to other parrots? I watch him like a hawk (pun not intended) but he goes after my other boys. My quaker is alot smaller, he isn't afraid of my Senegal but I don't think that's smart.

@ParrotBliss oh yeah, he's an absolute sweetie to people. He does not like other birds. He wants to eat them. I love him, he is funny (clumsy on his feet, don't know if that's because he's young) he is very busy and acrobatic. He seems to play more than my other boys, and he is a wood eater. He's like a mini cockatoo.

There's other videos about them on KZbin. But Senegal usually do not like other birds as they age. That we why The Parrot Wizard and Love of Pets switch their birds out time to time and gave them bigger cages.

I heard as they age they will not tolerate other birds. That was why the Parrot Wizard gave his Senegal Kili her own big cage whenever he takes out his other parrots and take turns who gets to come out.
