You could get a condiment bottle and put the soap in that. Like the type you see in a restaurant. You can cut the tip yourself, just a little so the hole is small. Or a small soda bottle and drill a small hole. You can get a bunch of bottle caps and drill various size holes and just swap them out for various size streams. Also, try starting the squeeze 4" outside the body then draw across, 4" past and stop. Same for swirling. Helps prevent the initial blob from being on the body. Try a small paint brush too, for something different. Great vid and fun thing to do with Axle! (Maybe a milk crate or lower table for Axle so he can get a bit higher up) Nice job Axle!!! You'll be the official "Cape Custom Painter" in no time! :)

Awesome info...never knew you can use dish soap as a mask. Nice work Adam & Axle... I'll try it out on one of the LGRP bodies that I haven't painted yet.

After watching the @scalebuildersguild video, I made an xmaxx and a prerunner body using the same soap method. From What I learned you should wash the soap off immediately after spraying it on and you will get a cleaner effect. Letting the paint dry with the soap on is what leaves that thin/dusty black where the soap trail was. I used Traxxas paint and a garden hose and I was able to wash all the soap off without any paint being washed away. Not to self promote but I posted the bodies Ive painted on my channel. The latrax prerunner body Is the one I let the paint sit and dry. You can definitely see the difference.

I'm defiantly gonna give this a try. FYI those masks aren't doing anything to protect you from the fumes. You need an actual respirator. They have some at harbor freight that wont break the bank too badly.

I screwed up my paint job, trying to do a two tone, one was Testor spray paint the other was a Tamiya can that I had laying around, as I spray the Tamiya it caused the other paint to mix/bleed....I guess they are different type of spray paints.

Please please stop painting in your basement. If you’re going to make a spray booth. Those fumes are so not good for you. And the masks you wore did nothing. Respirator especially for lil man. Dad rant over. Killer paint jobs.

If you try this again, I wonder if putting the soap in a better, smaller tip squeeze bottle would work better? Like a restaurant ketchup bottle.
