Idk if it says something about me as a person for choosing this movie as my favorite Tarantino film. But it’s just such an entertaining watch that I can come back to every now and then, and not only enjoy it but pick up stuff that I missed or forgot the previous times around. Then again, that’s many if not every Tarantino film. I just think the mystery aspect, the structure of the film, the comedy paired with the absolute beast of a roster that this cast is; makes this my favorite even amongst his classics.

26:50 In the guitar smashing scene..."Martin Guitar Museum loaned a priceless 145-year-old guitar as a prop for a film. However, that guitar never made it out of that set in one piece. The script actually involved Kurt Russell smashing the replica of the same guitar which was made specifically for that scene. Unfortunately, Russell did not know which was the real guitar and ended up destroying the antique six-string instead. According to sound mixer Mark Ulano, everyone started panicking when they realised that it was the real thing that Russell had destroyed. As for Tarantino, the filmmaker reportedly took pleasure in seeing the look of pure shock on Jennifer Jason Leigh’s face." Her reaction was real because she was horrified. That guitar was valued at over $40,000.

It is the 8th film that Quentin Tarantino, solely, wrote and directed. He's been involved in a few other films, as a writer, director, or actor. He also has collaborated on films that don't count as his. He only is going to make one more of his movies. He has a self imposed retirement after 10 movies, which sucks but it is his right. He thinks directing is a young man's game for some reason, even though there have been plenty of highly talented older directors. I hope he changes his mind. Jackie Brown is my shit.

When Kurt Russell grab the guitar and broke it he didn't know that he was grabbing on to 150 or so year-old guitar and smashing it against the wall. Needless to say the company that has the vintage guitars said they will never let a guitar be used in a movie again LOL

Words can't express my hatred for this wretched film. Not only does it mark the point at which Tarantino's pass to use the "N" word to his heart's content has finally jumped the shark, but also his general penchant for wallowing in race porn. And the worst part is when we find out exactly why he sneaked the term "hate fellate" into the title. Ugh. I thought I was getting a real bargain when I found this DVD on Amazon for five bucks or so, but after one nausea-inducing viewing I threw it in the trash where it belonged.
