Ian Russell is my all time favourite carpy geezer ever since Heathrow bait and him going out his way to help me not only on the old boyers leisure bedfont but also at Thorpe lea he was on a mag shoot and still took the time to help me out . I remember seeing The Don at a carp show about 25 years ago. He was making people cast into a small bucket with a tennis ball attached to the end, and he'd dress you up in all sorts, I've got a picture somewhere of me wearing some ridiculous jacket and a fez, whilst he was playing loud music and shouting Wanger on the Banger every 5 seconds! Didn't get the ball in but he gave me some line anyway as a prize lol It was nice to see him land the biggest carp in this film
