Alcorn lack in tubas and Jsu lack in trumpets,,they're hanging over to be heard rather than playing together to be a solid section,,with those numbers in a trumpet section they can be very much solid,,section leader should do better in sectionals or something,,they have like 25-30 but it don't sound like it,,I'll go to war with a solid 13,,but overall I give Jsu 8/10 and Alcorn 7/10..the sousaphones gotta get it together man they'll be crucial!

I know there was a loss of a number of upperclassmen, and the entering of a number of "unseasoned" freshmen... Now, with this season under their belt, they should be restored for the 2016 season...

I've made this point over and over with jsu's style bigger is not better 2013 was perfect in my analysis I know some has to do with the director and Dr Sanford but for the most part if jsu swapped they numbers with the freshman divide and all with another band in the swac it would be throo with. but personally me jsu needs to get back to 2013 standards and at most be 300 past that is too much....

Sorry to all you Brave fans but the sounds of dynamite is very thin. Not enough bottom in their upper and middle brass. The boom hurt themselves losing all those trumpets last year, but they have a more powerful and mature sound. Thank goodness the camera is in front of Alcorn cause we wouldn't hear a lot of what they are playing

You smokin somethin if you think Alcorn was cleaner.....crazy. Now I've personally been criticial of the BOOM in recent years over cleanliness, but no way the SOD was holding up. Alcorn has gotten cleaner than they used to be, but most of the stuff that was real clean had a lot of people on same part.
