In my opinion I don't think that right wingers care about having enough money for the basics of life like healthcare, housing, food, and education. I sincerely believe that the average right winger would rather die of poverty than have to acknowledge that trans people deserve to live or that migrants from South America deserve any kind of dignity or respect. Whenever I talk to someone on the right they never focus on economic issues and instead they focus on how to keep the USA white and Christian. Having a more equal society is obviously a good thing but I don't believe an equitable society will deradicalize your average Trump voter.

I think what you're talking about on the right wing is an Attitude with a capital 'A'. It seems to be hard wired and intense in a way that centrists and most of the left's attitudes aren't. I would imagine too that the longer you stick with it the more you feel invested and the harder it is to break out of, even if you feel you might want to.

The thing(s) that lukeolson5177 and indricotherium4802 are hypothesizing about have already been extensively studied and solidified, by experts in academia, with words like indoctrination, hegemony, sadism, masochism, superiority-complex, sociopathy, psychopathy, sabotage, genocide, group-think, tribalism, and cognitive dissonance. This is why education is so important -- these two are wasting time, stumbling over concepts that should be understood before a person is allowed to graduate high school. It's not the fault of lukeolson5177 and indricotherium4802 that they don't know these concepts already, but it sure is disheartening to watch them struggle to identify these concepts that have already been thoroughly explained. E for effort -- or some such hyperbole -- I guess.

In Poland we had the same issue with the Odra river being poisoned because water clearance did not want to take in the water due to it being so toxic and now talks about the same in the Vistula from the second biggest to the biggest these people do not deserve much.
