Great video and great work by those sanitation workers. It did sadden me though to see a lot of really solid wood furniture getting scrapped like that. Many of those chairs and tables could easily have been donated to charity for the less fortunate to use, or even to a thrift store for resale. A hobbyist could easily have done repairs/refinished them. Sadly, our society is all too quick to just discard items into the trash.

A guy could start a second hand store with all those chairs, tables and shelving.

WOW you put everything inside?!?!? 🤯 In France, we have a truck for recyclable trash, another one for the rest. For furnitures, people make a request on internet, they get a number they have to write on a paper, put the paper on the furniture, and these furnitures (on the sidewalk) are collected by another truck.

They really do a great job. Bostonians have a great work ethic. Out west they barley empty the cans

@@johnye4433 not really less furniture’s, more like reuse and up-cycle rather than just it looks out of place even though still looks decent condition, rather then sell it to make sum $$’s from it well just throw it out for the trash collection and fill up the truck faster so they cant complete the runs and get complaints from everyone about missed bins

I am surprised that all of the waste gets thrown into the truck, I am surprised there is no separate collections for glass, Ali and steel cans and food waste, and cardboard dont get recycled
@reddemmamudirini73323 ай бұрын
Recycling is a big corporate scam. Even here in Australia large appliances like washing machines and fridges get crushed in the truck with the general waste
@ladygracienyc20293 ай бұрын
Sadly it's not worth it to send a separate truck for recyclables. Especially with prices for paper so low and contamination levels high
@petergarbutt95213 ай бұрын
@@ladygracienyc2029 IN THE UK WE HAVE 4 SEPARATE WHEELY BINS, 4 DIFFERENT WASTES, THAT 4 DIFFERENT TRUCKS PICK UP... DEPENDING WHAT COUNTY YOU LIVE IN, SOME HAVE EVEN MORE THAN 4 WHEELY BINS... ITS PATHETIC
